D. Lee has now tied Gary Sheffield for the all-time Marlins HR record.

Way to go D. Lee!

Don't look now, but Lee is on FIYA!

hmm. Interesting

There are general managers who predict that even with Vladimir Guerrero, Gary Sheffield and Miguel Tejada on the market that no player will approach a Jim Thome deal, in terms of average annual salary ($15 million) or length. One major agent doesn't buy that, but he does say no one will approach the last $17 million player, Jason Giambi. "What you will see," said one AL GM, "is that the era of the pitchers getting more than three years is over. Pat Gillick called that many, many years ago, and some teams fell in to the trap."

Yeah, I can't stand them.... That's why I enjoy it when they win and hate it when they lose. That's why I follow them, and that's why I go to games.

Being a fan and liking the Marlins doesn't automatically void your right to be critical of what you beleive to be bad moves.

No, but anyone who is a fan would once in a while have a positive comment about their franchise. Every good comment you try and make is always backed by another negative one. You don't have to be oblivious and unrealistic, but the way you are is a glass is half-empty, mad at life kind of character. Be happy, it's just a game, you will die young of a heart attack with all the anger and negativity you harbor.

lol. Very true. I dunno, it seemed like the fans were so much kinder towards their team when we sucked. Now, everyone is finding the negative points, and forgetting that this is our 2nd best season evveerrr!

I mean, granted I've only been on THIS board since June, but im talking about ESPN.com boards as well.

Could Cabs get 70 RBIs this season?

looper's sure not been impressive...

game over! after this horrid 6-game stretch, only 1/2 game back! let's get back on track now..

Anyone else notice this...

Wow,what a resemblance.

it's staggering that we are exactly the same # of games behind philly as we were before the losing streak. other teams are getting close, but 'zona lost today which is good.

great outing for Pavano, glad to see him come back from a bad last start. he was solid today.

and fillet, as usual Derek has a good game right after you rip him, lol

oh, miguel cabrera is officially good.
