January 16, 200620 yr "The only reason you're still conscious is because I don't want to carry you around"
January 16, 200620 yr I am sad to see Palmer go, but there wasent anything more that he could do for the show. I hope Tony's ok, he's one of my favorites, and I think after the past 2 seasons, it's clear michelle and tony arent ment to be....... ( waits for Kim to come back )
January 16, 200620 yr great show, but I was sad to see Palmer go as well. The fun about 24 is to try and figure out the twists. It always seems to go from one major story to something even bigger hjalf way through the season.
January 16, 200620 yr Author I am sad to see Palmer go, but there wasent anything more that he could do for the show. I hope Tony's ok, he's one of my favorites, and I think after the past 2 seasons, it's clear michelle and tony arent ment to be....... ( waits for Kim to come back ) That's okay, Dennis Haysbert(Palmer) is going to be starring in a CBS show starting in March called 'The Unit' which so far is getting great reviews. Best. Opening. Ever. Yeah they really lived up to the 10 minutes thing... I saw the Dessler murder coming but I didn't see the Palmer death coming. I have to admit I shed a tear when Palmer was assassinated and I almost left the room when Chloe was -about- to be killed. Is it me or has Edgar Stiles gotten fatter? All my favorite characters from each season are dead... As Jack would say... DAMN IT!!! p.s. did anyone else see the Martin Luther King - David Palmer connection? and the Logan - Nixon connection? both were/are unstable and are similiar in how they deal with people.
January 16, 200620 yr The actor portraying President Logan is brilliant. While Logan isn't the easiest character to root for (and isn't meant to be), I love that the writers took a chance on having a shaky President, and Gregory Itzin does a fantastic job in the role. By far the best new character of the past few seasons, IMO, with Curtis being a close second. While I was sad to see Palmer go (and even though I knew it was coming I was still shocked to actually see it play out, if that makes sense) it was probably time. His character didn't have much left to do, really, after season 2. However if they just drop any mention of him by midseason, as they've done in the past with other plot threads, I'll be pissed. I was never a huge fan of Michelle so losing her isn't a big loss IMO, even though she looked hotter this season than in any previous season. Hopefully Tony makes it through the day. I'm greatly anticipating tomorrow and the rest of the season. It'll be interesting to see exactly what Cummings is up to with his whole scheme and if Logan knows about what's going on with Cummings.
January 16, 200620 yr He was the Security Chief last season. This season I think he's been promoted to Chief of Staff, though that might be Novick's role - not really sure.
January 16, 200620 yr Novick was Palmer's Chief of Staff, which makes me think it's unlikely that he'd be have the same role in Logan's Administration, considering Palmer's a Democrat and Logan's a Republican. But you can kind of throw logic out the window with this show a lot of the time.
January 16, 200620 yr Author Well what else can Novick be? That's basically all we know him as. In season 1 as a Campain Manager and the rest has been CoS.
January 16, 200620 yr Last year Novick was something like a special advisor to Logan because he'd said that Logan was one of his oldest friends. He definitely wasn't CoS for Logan last year, but it definitely could have changed in the 18 months between seasons.
January 16, 200620 yr Anyone else think that taking about 30 people hostage in a small airport is a little too small-time for 24 terrorists? Sure they have bigger stuff coming, but I was expecting something a little more dramatic than taking control of an airport that's not LAX
January 16, 200620 yr Author yeah they really need to develop the CTU cast(get them involved in more storylines). Curtis has a lot of potential but he isn't used very often but I'm sure that will change now that these characters(ones who died last night) are dead. Bill Buchanan needs to either be killed or do something useful. Edgar Stiles is the one we know most about but he still isn't fully developed. Does anyone know why Audrey was sent back to CTU?

I forget exactly why she was sent there, but a related question is do you think sparks will fly between Jack and Her again even after all that has happend between them ?
January 16, 200620 yr She said she was sent back to CTU to make sure that their #1 priority was still security for the summit. Apparently, she knew better where to position agents than Bill Buchanan did...which is a scary thought. Anyone else think that taking about 30 people hostage in a small airport is a little too small-time for 24 terrorists? Sure they have bigger stuff coming, but I was expecting something a little more dramatic than taking control of an airport that's not LAX I think the exact opposite. I wish, for once, that 24 wasn't about some global terror threat. The first season was the best one, in part because it was more about a threat to people we care about. If 30 fake hostages in some fake airport fake die, who gives a sh*t? If fake Los Angeles gets fake hit by a fake nuclear bomb, I really won't think much of it. But if one of the characters we care about dies, that matters a little more. From my perspective, the smaller the scope of the threat, the better...but, yeah, I'm worried this will somehow get tied into the arms agreement, and before we know it the nuclear stockpiles will be in jeopardy. Oh, good, more nukes.
January 16, 200620 yr Audrey's the DOD liason to CTU. I agree about the smaller threat being better as well. I like how this season started off by going after characters who had been developed over time, because it had a more personal feel to it. Some kind of overarching threat probably is necessary, but if it ends up with Jack in danger of being turned over to the Chinese (because of public exposure that he's alive) and has him running for his life the last half of the season or so, I'll be fine with it.
January 16, 200620 yr My guess is that they killed Michelle because she didnt play a major role anymore or she was leaving because she had another show shes going to work on. Her loss was the biggest to me because Tony Almaeda is my favorite character other than Jack of course. So I thought maybe just maybe Tony would finally be happy. (sigh)
January 16, 200620 yr I never like Michelle. Hopefully her death will make Tony a more badass character.
January 17, 200620 yr omfg what great 2 episodes, i cant wait till next monday. I knew taht walter guy was bad when i was watchin the first episode (7-8) he just had that charisma to him. God why cant it be next monday yet?!
January 17, 200620 yr Curtis certainly displayed more awesomeness tonight than Jack. Samwise Gamgee is a cool character. He just annoys the hell out of everyone and then goes and saves the day. Classic.
