Junior
Chris (Huntsville, AL) Put yourself on the record and tell us what kind of numbers you think Prince and Hermida will put up this year. JIM CALLIS Prince Fielder: .270, 27 HR. Jeremy Hermida: .290, 18 HR. That assumes they both play every day.
Guest markotsay7
I'll take it.
Marlins04
ill take the average and 20+ homers cause if he can hit 4 homers in limited play for a month think all year!!!
marlinsfan75
I think he might put up better numbers than that more like 30 HR/year. His approach/swing remind me of Shawn Green.
Fish4Life
He'll hit 22-25 Homers..
PBMarlin
I expect Hermida will hit more than 20 HRs. But the .290 BA sounds about right.
The_Punisher
WOW, should be fun to watch, I don't know much about Hermida, but everyone is so high on him, with Jacobs in the mix, and an established Miguel Cabrera sound like we might be alright, now go look for the future leadoff hitters...maybe TWO ;-)
ultimopain
Hopefully he'll hit 30, I'm optimistic.
Ralph
I say he hits 25-30 :mischief
SonataArctica121
I think that's just about right. I don't buy 20+HR's till the next season.
TSwift25
I'm thinking a lower average and more HR's.
TheMarlinsWinThe
Sickles said that he'd be like Brian Giles with less power I'd take it
UltimateCabrera24
Same chat listed Scott Olsen as the 3rd best lefty prospect, behind only Jon Lester and Francisco Liriano. Only problem is that Callis called him Steve.
The_Punisher
Brain Giles eh? That would be major for our offense!! Canon arm and everything?
Wild Card
I think he might put up better numbers than that more like 30 HR/year. His approach/swing remind me of Shawn Green. Everything about him reminds me of the old Shawn Green... His body type is the same, his sweet swing, his patience, his power, his contact... Everything. I'll take .290 and 18 homers anyday. I think even that is a little much to expect from him. The guy isn't 25 like Jacobs, and he's not superman like Cabrera... He's still young. We get spoiled watching these phenominal young players just step into the majors and perform incredibly off the bat. That doesn't normally happen. I just hope nobody here is disappointed when he doesn't have the season you guys think he will.
