Who will win the AL East next year?

Featured Replies

I think it'll be very interesting. The Yankees got their CF. The Red Sox look like a very different team. The Jays got some highly prized FA's. The O's got Mazzone. The Devil Rays.. erm.. yeah.

Sox all the way...somehow

i mean they add jt snow. There starting pitching looks good with the addition of beckett. back of bullpen has seanez, taverez, foulke who i believe is back in his old form. Lowell IS NOT done yet. i think he is still capable of his old numbers. last year was a fluke. also alex gonzalez i believe will sign and do a pretty good job. mark loretta also a good infielder. good all around.

Yep, that will be the move to get them past the Yanks.

:confused

He is better than Delgado, right MaysBonds? :mischief

oh cmon i was just making an example. i wasnt like making it a big thing. Snow will do a decent job im not expecting like a huge year or anything. he does his part and plays awesome D.

He's also the backup.

But I'm just rattling your cage, I'll quit now.

Isnt he starting at 1st?

Kevin Youklis.

oh i see, well in short...whatever they ask him to do he will be successful at it. period. go sox.

If Beckett can stay healthy, most definitely the Sox.

Yankees, they're the team best built for the short-haul. 2007 and 2008 could be messy though.

That rotation is shaky at best. Johnson is old and losing it, Mussina is getting up there in age and not what he used to be, Pavano is looking like a monumental bust, and Wang reminds me a lot of Jae Seo (not a good thing). Chacon is their best pitcher and he's certainly not the most reliable pitcher. The offense can more than make up for it though. If they do make they playoffs, they'll get smoked in the first round.

That said, they're still better (or, less flawed) than the other 2 teams that have post-season dreams in the AL East.

two weeks after the end of the World Series I told my bro to look out for the Blue Jays... they were fifth in the AL in runs scored and had solid pitching coming back with Halladay, Chacin and Lilly... plus I knew Burnett favored Toronto... I don't know now though, they messed with the team by adding Glaus and Ryan and Overbay...

I honestly think Tampa will win some games. I like that manager, he has that Guillen/McKeon/Francona "Just go have fun" attitude, which is always dangerous, and they defnitely have talent, plus they're under new management...

Orioles got Mazzone, Daniel Cabrera's got to be early favorite for Cy Young now...

with that said... Yankees.
