So as we all know and love to point out, i'm a failure when it comes to women and love life. So my station got the brilliant idea to pay for a sponsored all-expenses paid date for me to go out with a woman. This includes a tux for me, a dress for her, a limo, a dinner at a $30/plate steakhouse and possibly more afterwards. Alright, this made me nervous enough but I was alright....Then came the newspaper ad..

 

 

 

Now apparently the woman has been picked and it's a member of the University of Richmond Dance team...except everyone in the company knows about it except me who won't know until she gets into the limo....Now if you look at their website you'll see there's some good choices and there's some that quite frankly even Bender would stoop so low to date.....Thus the reason for the poll above.

 

The story continues as I'm scheduled to participate in "Dancing with the Spinners" at the Richmond game next wednesday. It's a segment where two guys each dance with a Spinner and whoever does it better wins a prize...It's going to be the kickoff to the promotion...I'm going to be embarrassed as f***.

 

So the point of this thread is to tell you about my exploits....ask for suggestions....tell me your thoughts and help me get thru this interesting night.

The itinerary has been set.....Limo to dinner at a japanese steakhouse where during dinner a guy dressed in shakespeare garb will say a sonnet to her and give her a dozen roses.....then a limo ride through the city and that's it.

Alright, let's just say that it had it's hitches....It began with me being late to the limo and the limo getting lost on the way to her house.....She came out and looked absolutely amazing. We got in the limo and drove to the place and it turned out we went to the wrong one and the limo left us...We called it back and drove like 30 mins out of the way to go to the other one and we were both hungry....The Shakespeare guy who was supposed to come came too early and we werent there so we didnt get that.

 

Eventually we got dinner, and the convo was nice and everything was cool. I tried feeding her some of my food and it was too hot so she spit it out...big romantic move on my part failing miserably. The chemistry seemed there but i don't know women so.....bleh

 

We drove home and in the process the limo drove in a one way street the wrong way and proceeded to run a red light forcing two cars to slam on their brakes to prevent from hitting us. In the limo on the way back i gave her a nice massage which she liked and a godiva box of chocolates. We drove her back to her apt where i got a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

 

She came to the station today to tape some stuff and I asked her out again and she said she'd call me when she gets her schedule for this weekend. But i'll see her saturday cause Richmond is home....While there, we're hoping to get the shakespeare people to come to the game and during a timeout, recite the sonnet to her and give her the dozen roses with me watching from press row....
