Heat-Cavs

Featured Replies

uh... So I turn on the game at the start of the 4th quarter and HOLY CRAP, what a show Wade, JWil, Zo, Walker, and Shaq have put on...

please tell me someone has been watching this "Streetball" game

if not, youll see highlights everywhere later

the last play by wade was the greatest single play i think ive ever seen, with behind the defensive player back and then the half-court alley-oo to shaq...that was great

Dwyane Wade is the man. This team is finally putting it together and at the right time. 29-18...

I'm thinking 55-27 is a good estimate of how they'll finish.

Well, it IS a Heat-Cavs thread, but I don't think anyone really minds some general NBA talk.

I just got back from the game, and it was maybe the most amazing NBA game I've ever been to. The whole game was just one long highlight reel, and the last 5-6 minutes were completely off the charts. You had one of the best dunks of the year on the alley-oop from JWill to Wade...and at that point I was thinking it couldn't be topped. Then you had the Shaq nonchalant flip basket. Then you had Wade's ridiculous block. And to top it all off there was the play of the year, from what I've seen anyway, with that Wade half-court oop to Shaq.

Just ridiculous.

That was simply amazing game to watch. Like ESPN said it was like a And-1 game.

now we can watch the spurs as they continue to 'gear up' for the real season.

i'm starting to like our defensive intensity out there.

its getting time for us to get serious about playing basketball this year.

LOL nice thread jack :lol

I just like the fact that all week it has been Lebron for MVP talk and other nonsense and Wade totally overshadowed him :)

Lebron: 31.0 PPG, 6.90 RPG, 6.4 APG

Wade: 26.8 PPG, 5.90 RPG, 6.9 APG

It was one game, get over it.

You know what was funny, yet pretty messed up at the same time? We were in the standing room only area and there were guys who were obviously Lebron bandwagon fans. One of them was the most annoying and disrespectful of them all. He kept chanting, "Let's go James!" and kept saying, "Give the ball to James!" He was making fun of Wade the entire time too. But when there were about 5 minutes left of the game, they all left saying, "F*** the Heat!" They looked pretty stupid there. What was pretty messed up about all that is that we had Max's 8 year old nephew with us, plus there were some even younger kids around us. They heard/saw it all.

They played head to head, LeBron had more points but Wade had a better night. I don't see how it's a bad thing someone points this out.

I don't see how Wade's 25-6-4 totally overshadowed LBJ's 29-7-5. But the Heat got the win, that's the important thing. But for someone to say he totally overshadowed him when Lebron's line was better...makes no sense.

Who really cares? The Heat dominated the Cav's and stopped there winning streak by not only beating them but blowing em out.

That's what is important.

LeBrons 29 came on 12 of 29 shooting while Wade was 11 of 20. Wade also had 4 steals.

But I do agree, LeBron is the better talent and has been better this year.

Wade didnt play in the 4th much because of the huge lead and really the plays he made were amazing. Lebron is lebron is always does solid just doesnt have a team :)

Go watch the Lakers if you only care so much about how much one player does.

Wade had 25 points on 11-20 shooting, with 6 assists and 4 rebounds.

LBJ had 29 points on 12-29 shooting with 7 assists with 5 rebounds.

Wade also had 4 steals, a block and his team won by 30.

LBJ also played 4 more minutes,

All I'm saying is the original point was to the effect that Wade just dominated Lebron and just killed his numbers. I posted how that wasn't the case. Wade had the better game and his team won which is the most important thing (which I even stated above). But to act like he totally killed Lebron's numbers is foolish. Also strong talk coming from a team that has just as many losses as the Cavs despite having much better players then LBJ has.

:whistle Umm Shaq was out at the start of the season.

Wade did kill his numbers. Lebron shot 41%, Wade 55%.

Wade was more efficient and his team won. Duh, I get this you are totally missing my original point (but it's past time going to that).

But I still don't understand the math you are using to say that Wade 'killed' his numbers when he had -4 points, -1 assists, and -1 rebounds. How is that 'killing' his numbers?

BTW, Lebron's shooting performance last night was an anomaly as he shoots at a 49% clip on the year and better then Wade.

(Never meant this to become a Wade v. James argument but thanks to those who did and still cant comprehend the simple and easy point I was originally making.)

To say that Lebron didnt have a better week is foolish. Lebron definately deserves some MVP talk after how he played in spite of the Heat game. Good for Wade that he won the game and did better. But you just can't discount James like that.

I agree with passion. You guys are turning this in a lbj vs wade when all passion was askin is HOW wade totally killed lebron when lebrons numbers were better?! sure, wade was more efficient (as someone said above) but lebrons numbers were better... now, the heat did win and thats the most important part but to deny that Lebron had the better night by the line is dumb. Now, to the comment that someone said about shaq being out (Umm Shaq was out at the start of the season. ) This is true, but IMO Alonzo Mourning is no scrub... And if you ask me, he is better than Ilgauskus... so wade still had the better team ALL AROUND. LBJ is carrying that team on his back, and he most definately deserves MVP talk! Im with the Passion!
