March 11, 200620 yr Okay, so tonight i'm getting the Carolina feed of the Hurricanes game on DirecTV rather than the Panthers feed and in the middle of the first period they had some TV contest where they give away a prize anytime a Canes player scores a hat trick. Well tonight they revealed the most recent winner. Here in Florida when they have these contests they'll give away a trip to the Bahamas or something like that. Well when they revealed the prize and who the winner was, I couldn't contain my laughter. In true North Carolina fashion, the grand prize was........ A JOHN DEERE L100 TRACTOR :lol :lol
March 11, 200620 yr Now that's what I call satire. Giving people something they can actually use in these giveaways.
March 11, 200620 yr It's a riding lawn mower, so what? John Deere is a big sponsor for them. I bet just as many people in Florida have riding mowers as do North Carolinians. You're Gay.
March 11, 200620 yr It's a South Florida thing. We really don't have a need for sitdown lawnmowers. When you're not used to using them at all and you see others even racing these things, they're just going to be taken in gest.
March 11, 200620 yr I wish I had a riding lawnmower or at the very least, a non-POS lawnmower. I hate mowing the grass at home.

March 11, 200620 yr Riding lawnmowers are possibly one of the greatest pieces of equipment any house can have. *makes stereotype about Accord being rich and Jewish*
March 11, 200620 yr Author I used to live in North Carolina and when I finally moved to Florida it was refreshing how just plain "normal" everything was. Watching the Carolina game and then having them give away a tractor, it's just so incredibly stereotypical of North Carolina that it's funny.

Don't hate on people for having different values just because of where they live.
