MARLIN MINOR LEAGUE STATS

Featured Replies

Volstad is 4-0 w/ a 23/3 K/BB ratio. He should be in Jupiter soon.

I am always proud to say my school beat this kid in the state tournament on the way to a baseball state championship last season.

Brian Cleveland and James Guerrero are 2 good middle INF prospects to keep an eye on.

Volstad picked up his 1st loss of the season and Taylor Tankersley continues to pitch very well.

dood Guerrero is nothign sepecial...his bat isn't great and he can't field...and he is in low sinlge...;no keep an eye on

Also 1b is gaby zone so andy has been playin 3b/c

Gaby Sanchez plays 1b? For some reason, I thought he was a catcher..

Anyway, how is Hayes doing? I have high hopes for him.

And hows about Aaron Thompson and Marceaux? Just curious how the other two firsties are doing.

Gaby Sanchez plays 1b? For some reason, I thought he was a catcher..

Anyway, how is Hayes doing? I have high hopes for him.

And hows about Aaron Thompson and Marceaux? Just curious how the other two firsties are doing.

They both have awesome stuff but keep an eye on Sean West (when he gets back from the DL) and Ryan Tucker. They have looked eve better than Thompson and Marceaux- but both of those guys are very young.

That draft class has some great pitching.

Did Gaby switch to 1b? If so, I wonder why :mischief2

because he is the worst defensive player of all time

2nd worst....no one ever comes close to Jonathan Fulton....absolutely horrible.

I took Fulton off this list. He's bad and no longer merits being called a "prospect".

Ya, I am going to get some West rookie cards really cheap, I am starting to follow him a bit. Tucker I know almost nothing about. Was he like a 2nd round sandwich? Vaguely remember the name.

Ok, I see he was a 1st round sandwich....which leads me to this question--

Why did we get a 1st round pick from the Gnats AND a sandwich for Benitez? (same for Pavano I believe)

Sunday's stars......

Jose Campusano went 4-5 with SB #17. He's now batting .352!

De Aza finally got his average over the mendoza line (.214) with a solo homer and SB #12.

Jeffrey Van Houten hit a 3 run homer....he's batting .295 with 8 homers and 20 RBI this year.

James Guerrero hit his 2nd homer of the year and owns a 6 to 3 BB:K ratio.

Finally, Michael Doolittle who had 18.1 scoreless IP this year allowed 2 ER in 4.1 IP Sunday. He still owns a 0.79 ERA.

ross wolf got promoted to AAA Albuquerque and pitched 2 perfect innings with 2K in his first appearance.

thanks.....I think he has below average stuff though.

Do you see him ever making it to the show?

chances arn't great that he creates a sustained major league career for himself, but you never know. There are plenty of guys in the show with below average stuff.

I agree. Nate Bump was one of them. Nate is struggling this year big time. I think he needs a change of scenery.

They should move Kris Harvey to 1B but that would waste his cannon of an Arm.

No.

First they have like 9 1B in Gboro right now and Harvey is basically the only prospect at the outfield position in this organization. Keep him there. And he does have a pretty good arm, but he tends to overthrow a bit from what I've seen. (i.e. miss cutoff man or airmail a throw)

Two words for you...

Jose Campusano

Gaby Sanchez becomes first Marlin minor leaguer to hit #10.

He's playing...1st, right?
