Sanchez went 2-5 today and hit homer number 11.

It would be helpful in the future if you posted the number of AB for the hitters.

Septimo looks like another good Rule V pickup. Not sure if he has a future with the fish, but its nice to see that we can effectively use the Rule V draft.

Either way, looks like he will be a great bullpen addition sooner rather than later. Only thing is, 22 might be a tad old for Jupiter, not much though...and I assume he'll get called up at some point if he keeps throwing like he has. Very excited about him and Harvey Garcia, if they can do what they are doing in MiLB at the big level, and Sanchez pitches to potential...then wow, great trade that'll turn out to be.

Keep an eye on Scott Nestor, who is now healthy. Once a starter, Nestor is an innings eater who has started the season off pitching 10.2 IP with only 3 hits allowed.

-2005-A new addition to the Greensboro roster is right-handed pitcher Jose Garcia. Garcia joins the Grasshoppers from extended spring training in Jupiter, FL. Only 20 years old, this is Garcia's fourth season with the Florida Marlins organization. He was originally signed as a non-drafted free agent in 2001. Since then, he has spent all three seasons in the Dominican Summer League. During his three seasons with the DSL, Garcia was 10-11 with a 1.92 ERA. He allowed 146 hits and 38 earned runs while striking out 213 batters.

Anibal is the only guy I'd rather see ahead of him at this point, but at the same time--you want to give Sanchez as much experience and practice as possible--polish him some more. So Ungs should be next.

 

We know Pretty Boy is getting the waive once Hermida is back; But to make room on the 40, you have to get rid of an older guy (no way they designate a prospect, no matter who he is)
