The Marlins are expecting at least 20,000 for each of the three games, which would be about 10,000 fewer than the turnouts last week at Veterans Stadium where the Phillies won 2-of-3.

Ticket sellers at Pro Player Stadium were greeted by hundreds of Marlins fans when they opened their windows Tuesday morning. A spokesman for the team said more than 2,500 walk-up tickets had been sold for Tuesday's game alone by early afternoon and ''several thousand'' were sold for the team's final six games.

Lines were over 100 people deep for most of the day.

The Marlins were to meet the Philadelphia Phillies tonight in the first game of a crucial three-game series. Florida leads the Phils by one game in the National League wild-card chase. The Phillies' Kevin Millwood was to face Dontrelle Willis in the opener.
