Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby

Featured Replies

It was good, but I'd still rank it below Anchorman and 40-Year Old Virgin. Still, worth seeing, IMO.

i agree, its a good movie and its worth it, but not better than those 2 movies you listed.

I thought it was terrible. Huge disappointment - I LOL'd less than 5 times.

I do have to say, though, the "if you don't chew Big Red, f*** you" line was great.

I thought Anchorman was awful, but I want to see this movie.

I thought it was too, and it probably wasn't a good idea to take my six year old niece to see it...

I saw the midnight showing at Lincoln Rd last night.

I guess it was okay, though I LOL'd at only about 5% of what the rest of the audience was LOLing at. By the end of it, I had fallen asleep, which is totally lame and partially my fault--I was hella tired.

Pretty freakin hilarious. The joke about

Jean Girard sitting on the pole, which by no means implies anything about his sexual orientation

was the funniest line in the movie by far.

I thought it was great, but it got a little slow toward the end of the movie.

So disappointing.....Had it's Will Ferrell moments but overall, highly disappointed by it.

What made this movie great for me was that I saw it in a North Carolina movie theater. Some of the people there were falling off their chairs. The guy in front of me said "This is the funniest movie avar!"

anyway, I liked the movie, it was very funny. Obviously won't win the hearts of some of your PC folk.

I'd give it a 7/10, and I thought it was better than Anchorman by far. The acting, the jokes, and women (Amy Adams is pretty damn cute...especially in that one scene!)

The movie theater in NC has this picture thing, where you can take you picture with Ricky Bobby. It looks so funny. I can't wait to see it, hopefully I'll see it this weekend

I thought it was funny, but not hilarious as I was expecting. Not nearly as good as Anchorman in my opinion.

See, I thought the

line was better, but to each his own.

I was pretty disappointed in it. I mean it was entertaining and had some quality one liners, but I only lol'd 3 times. I realize promoting products is a huuuugge part of Nascar, but I really felt they were overtop with mentioning product names. It almost felt like a constant commercial at times.

Anyways I'll give it a 6.5/10
