I live in Florida, I think I know him well enough.

He was too involved in that Terri Schiavo BS, and now he wants high school kids to declare a major before they enter HS. That's just crazy. I know some people in college who still don't know what they want to do.

I live in Florida too, and he has been a fantastic governor. Oh, boohoo he wants high schoolers to declare a major, what an awful awful man! If that's the worst thing he's got going for him you're going to be sorely disappointed in 2012 :lol .. The Terry Schiavo BS will not hurt him at all and he handled it fine.

He is the total package. More experience in handling disasters than pretty much ANY potential candidate, he speaks spanish fluently, he's not an extreme far religious right winger like W is, lot's of democrats down here are in love with him, the list is endless.

You just hate him because his last name happens to be Bush.

And you wanna go down on him because his last name is Bush. Too bad the religious right won't let you.

Whoa.

Mollusk with the hard burn. And he doesn't even usually need to go down to this level. I like it.

but isnt warner in his first term as governor now? So he has little experience

No, his Vice Governor has become the new governor recently. Right now Warner does not have a position.

*Lieutenant Governor

*was elected

Thanks, I have no idea how I missed the past tense. I was probably tired.

Robert Novak says his earlier report that Rudy Giuliani ® "intends to run for president has been confirmed by one of the former New York mayor's closest Republican friends. He said Giuliani definitely is running for president."

But Novak says it's Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney ® who "has the lead in organizing early primary states for the 2008 presidential run, in the opinion of neutral GOP politicians. Romney is particularly strong in Iowa, where caucuses begin the presidential hunt. A win there would swell Romney's now anemic identification among Republican voters."

Romney is probably going to have more backing then Guliani will from the GOP.

Romney supports a same-sex marriage ban, pro death penalty, pro-life (sans rape and incest, etc), and vetoed stem cell research. I know he also supported raising the salary of teachers.

I don't know his stance on guns but he is right with me on all the big issues and his drunk driving crackdown bill really makes me happy as for personal reasons that's a big issue for myself as is the raising of the teachers salary. He seems to be a great candidate who if he gets the ball rolling and the backing of the party is going to have a great chance of winning it.

oh god...id almost prefer another bush over romney...and im serious...massachusetts has had 3 or 4 crappy gov's in a row...romney is easily the worst of those too...guy cares more about how ihs hair looks than running an efficient state government

I think that his stance on stem-cell research is going to hurt him.

I just hope we don't get another ultra-conservative president like him again...

I want a moderate, whether it's Republican or Democrat.

I'm just curious, but why would being anti-stem cells be a good thing? There's a pretty clear majority in this country for stem cells.

Well, for me it would be a good thing because I don't support the government spending on it or the cloning or manipulation of human embryos.

My whole post on Romney is why he would be a good candidate based on my beliefs.

The only thing I agree with is pro life...though abortion is legal in this nation so it is what it is, as long as its legal its legal.

Passion was just stating why he personally likes romney. I'm a guiliani fan myself.
