July 23, 200619 yr Conine is the most respected Marlins in history. Santana or Kevin Brown are one of the top Marlins pitcher out there and Gary Sheffield was real good for a hitter.
July 23, 200619 yr Here is a list of the best Marlins player in their position: C - Ivan Rodriguez 1B - Delgado 2B - Luis Castillo 3B - Mike Lowell SS - Engar Renteria LF - Cliff Floyd CF - Preston Wilson RF - Jeff Conine SP - Kevin Brown RP - Nen I don't know much about Fish history

July 23, 200619 yr C - Ivan Rodriguez 1B - Delgado 2B - Luis Castillo 3B - Mike Lowell SS - Engar Renteria LF - Gary Sheffield CF - Preston Wilson RF - Jeff Conine SP - Kevin Brown RP - Nen M - Jack McKeon Any complaints? are you doing it based on one season or on entire Marlins careers?
July 23, 200619 yr Lee nah, his best season avg with this team was .282 and 31 HR with 4 full season attempts while Delgado smoke it with a .301 BA and 33 HR in his lonely 1 season with the Fish.
July 23, 200619 yr C - Ivan Rodriguez 1B - Delgado 2B - Luis Castillo 3B - Mike Lowell SS - Engar Renteria LF - Gary Sheffield CF - Preston Wilson RF - Jeff Conine SP - Kevin Brown RP - Nen M - Jack McKeon Any complaints? Jeff Conine was never a rightfielder for the Marlins. Gary Sheffield should be at right field and Conine at left field. Mine is: C- Ivan Rodriguez 1B- Derrek Lee (One season does not make Carlos Delgado a Marlins all time great IMO. Ivan Rodriguez is up there because he was the heart in that 2003 playoff run and he is definetly the best catcher we've ever been graced by on our team) 2B- Luis Castillo 3B- Mike Lowell/Miguel Cabrera SS- Edgar Renteria LF- Jeff Conine CF- Juan Pierre/Preston Wilson RF- Gary Sheffield SP- Dontrelle Willis (No questions there) RP- Bryan Harvey

July 23, 200619 yr Lee nah, his best season avg with this team was .282 and 31 HR with 4 full season attempts while Delgado smoke it with a .301 BA and 33 HR in his lonely 1 season with the Fish. Thats a dumb reason. Really it is. DLee is a better all around first basemen than Delgado ever will be and same applies for while on this team as well.
July 23, 200619 yr What about Cliff Floyd, he should be in the argument as the best LF in Marlins history.
July 23, 200619 yr C- Ivan Rodriguez 1B- Carlos Delgado (I still gotta go with him, Mr. Anit-Clutch BA has always been low) 2B- Luis Castillo 3B- Mike Lowell (Cabrera defense is horrible compare to Lowell) SS- Edgar Renteria LF- Cliff Floyd CF- Juan Pierre/Preston Wilson (I'll leave both like this since they're both completely different players) RF- Gary Sheffield SP- Dontrelle Willis (No questions there) RP- Bryan Harvey (I don't know this guy but look like he's good by the sound of things)
July 23, 200619 yr For me it is... C Pudge 1B D-Lee 2B Castillo SS Renteria 3B Lowell OF Conine, Cabrera, Sheffield (i know theres no natural CF there, but i just have to get those 3 guys in the lineup) SP Dontrelle Willis RP Rob Nen

But I'd have to put Alfonseca and Nen in front of Harvey. I realize Harvey had much less playing time as a Marlin but I can't overlook Alfonseca's 214 K's and Nen's 328 K's.
July 23, 200619 yr C- Ivan Rodriguez 1B- Derek Lee 2B- Luis Castillo 3B- Mike Lowell SS- Edgar Renteria LF- Cliff Floyd CF- Juan Pierre RF- Gary Sheffield SP- Dontrelle Willis RP-Armando Benitez
July 23, 200619 yr I'm too lazy to look up the numbers but Alou's 1997 was probably better than any season had by Conine or Floyd. Alou: 23 HR .292 BA 115 RBI 6 SB
July 23, 200619 yr Alou 97 (150 games): .292 AVG, .373 OBP, .493 SLG Floyd 01 (149 games): .390 AVG, .578 OBP, .321 SLG
