What is your opinion on Matt Treanor?
I think that hes good at what he does...(being a backup catcher) and i respect how he sprints, and i mean sprints around the bases on a home run

Selig on the Marlins stadium
Transcript of Selig on XM contributed by M. Festa Steiner: You mentioned the Marlins, and what, are they ever going to have a ballpark down there or will they have to move? And the problem it seems to me, if any franchise moves, where do you go to that?s any better? Selig: Well, look, let me say this. I was in Minnesota last night, up in Minneapolis to a party to celebrate the Twins? new stadium and that?s 12 ? years later. And we went through a lot of heartache. And Carl Pohlad was there. It was a wonderful, wonderful night and a beautiful night; of course the Twins people are happy. They are playing beautifully. But, we did get it done. But it shows the patience you have to have. I am always optimistic. Oakland is working on a new stadium. And we, our people are down in South Florida. And I know that they, the Marlins people really want to get a new ballpark. We want to stay there. Hopefully, we?ll be successful. Steiner: With the, you are keeping that totally open ended though. At some point, they can only swallow so many losses. Financial. Selig: Well, that?s right, but in the end, if we gave up easily, we wouldn?t have wound up building a new stadium in Minnesota. So I, you know, I feel pretty good about that now as a lesson for the future. Steiner: So nothing imminent one way or the other as far as the Marlins. Selig: No, we are working hard on getting a new stadium. Steiner: Nicely done, Bud. Ah, [chuckles]. As always, hey, thank you. You have an open invitation on this little lemonade stand of a radio show.

Brian Moehler
http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article...sp&c_id=mlb RHP Brian Moehler Contract status: Signed through 2006 A likely candidate to be moved. The veteran is making $1.50 million. He's pitched much better for more than a month, but currently is on the disabled list with a sore right big toe. That has bothered him for more than a month, but he has pitched effectively through pain. Expected to be healthy before July 31, Moehler could be a prime candidate to go to a serious contender looking for another starter who also can pitch out of the bullpen. With so many young arms in the Marlins' system, moving Moehler would create a rotation spot. What do you think we can get for him?

The Marlins record by the trade deadline?
youve got 7 more games on the marlins homestand against the nationals(3) and the pirates(4). then a day off and the team heads to atlanta to face the braves for 3 games and then the phillies for 4 games in 3 days which brings the team to the trade deadline on monday where the face the phillies in game 5(the final game of the series).i c the fishs record being 49-55(40-50 as of july 16th). Questions 1. will the marlins be 5 games within first place of the wild card 2. what do you think the marlins record will be 3. with the record that you give them will the front office choose to "buy or sell"

Can we start Helms in the OF?
honostly..i dont have much of a problem with amazega in cf as of now. and his range is good, beautiful catch in cf today. but if wes helms has the speed i'd be fine with him playing more.

here comes the 2nd half of baseball...
with the marlins finishing around my expectations for the first half, where do you think they will end up in by october.. -first off...do you see the marlins buying or selling this year -second, the nl is awful this year. with the nl wild card teams as bad as they are we have better chances at the playoffs -third, will these kids b to tired to compete come to september?

long island marlin fan here on olsen & cabs
ok...idk how u all feel about cabrera rite now...but if u have a prob. with his "attitude problem" let me explain to u what i witnessed saturday and sunday. Saturday(game 1) seemed very happy...havin a fun catch with a.a....does well in the game and then came the hbp incident. when he first got hit he seemed a little upset but not as upset as it looked. what i think happened is that the benches clearing got him a little more into the whole incident(this leads to the fans harrassment). later that inning he wud be ejected. Then came game 2. this guy had to endure 5 innings of extreme harrasment by some A%S$H*0le met fans...who wud go on to make fun of his wife(rosangel),kid, and intell. until he was eventually taken out of the game around the 6th..?went to todays game(1st row on the marlins dugout)fans still treated him like crap. Then came the error...n thats ok...but the how slow he was on the way towards the ball was ridiculous...u cant have that...idc how good u r.So yes that was a little out of line but it was just a rough series fan wise for him... thank u for reading, mike p.s. i think that the marlins have realized that the bullpen is indeed somewhat of a problem that they will need to have at least 1 addition too. That span that they had during the winning streak they were great but that was it.If the marlins were to be say...3 games under on the trade deadline week...who wud they deal and who for
