Seems so but who am I to say...they must have seen something very positive from him....he is not interested in the pen or so he said....alot of long relievers right now in the pen....should be able to hold down the fort is kensing on the 60-day DL, is it that serious of an injury? about the same injury he incurred last time....not quite as bad but he can't use his right arm right now...he thinks its year ending right now and there is no chance the Marlins will risk bringing him back with a month and a half left in the season....more rehabbing for poor Loganski
August 8, 200619 yr maybe there was a problem that was nagging him and thats why he fell off a little bit idk mitre wont be happy wit the pen and frankly i think hes better off as a starter
August 8, 200619 yr Last I read was that Sergio was going to make a rehab start in Jupiter Tues or Wed and if all went well probably one more rehab start before maybe rejoining the team next week. I just checked the roster and he is on the 40 man, still on the 60 day DL.

He'll go on the 15 day DL and then if he can't come back they'll move him to the 60 day at that point in time. I hope he get's better soon though, very promising young pitcher. Mitre has a lot of experience at the big league level, at least relative to most guys on the team. I seriously doubt he'll start a game anytime soon. He'll probably relieve until he can get his pitch counts elevated.

He'll probably relieve until he can get his pitch counts elevated. you are correct in the normal procedures but if they have activated Sergio Mitre from the 60-day someone else is going to take his place on the 60-day or be sent down to AAA due to the 40-man roster spot....so if Logan isn't going on the 60-day right off the bat then someone has to have been waived????? wonder when will find out
August 8, 200619 yr Mitre pitched one inning today for the Gulf Coast League team. He threw 12 pitches, topping at 91. A little wild high in the zone . He gave up no runs and no hits and walked a batter on four pitches.
