I don't know...honestly I think that the movie version of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell will be better than this one. Mostly because Sam Fisher is a deeper character than Agent 47, who we don't really know anything about.

 

I also disagree with the article's idea of Vin Diesel in the main role.

they need to find someone deep, dark and bald...and i agree...splinter cell movie was awesome...but technically...didnt splinter cell start from a book?

It's a decent idea, but will probably end up like the rest of the crappy Video Game movies.

 

My money's on Vin Diesel btw.

No, actually the Splinter Cell books were based on the game.

If I'm not mistaken, LatinoReview also thought the Hitman script was brilliant, giving it an A+.

 

I'm going to try and get my hands on it and see for myself, I've never played the video game though, so I'd be unable to compare.

The games were hard as sh*t.

Looks decent. I like the use of the "Ave Maria" song that appeared in "Blood Money". I think it's now the unofficial Hitman song.

Wasn't the game supposedly based off of Richard Kuklinski? I always thought a movie of Kuklinski would be great.

All of the Tom Clancy property movies have been stalling lately.

 

A film version of "Without Remorse" was very close to getting started, but it has since fallen back to the wayside.

 

I have not heard any news about the Splinter Cell movie in close to a year now.

i've always been a fan of the Hitman game, and the movie looks like its gonna be good. can't wait til it comes out.

Never played the video game but will see the movie. Seth freakin' Bullock is the lead character (The Hitman, obviously). It will rock.

 

I see some uber nerds complaining on the IMDB board about the casting of Timothy Olyphant to play agent 47, but I don't think they realize just how bad ass he can be. Bullock is the MAN.

movie was pretty awesome, go watch it.

Yeah - it was pretty okay. I mean, a little cartoonish beyond even James Bond standards in regards to the survivability standards in some scenes but whatever. It was fun mindless entertainment and never pretended to be more than that. If you like movies like xXx - this is for you.

yea it got so-so reviews but i absolutely love the games so imma probably take a look at it

Just saw it tonight. I have to say that it was better than xXx, thank god. I hated that movie. Overall it was better than I expected.

 

There were a few references to the game, including a scene where 47 ends up in someone's living room where the kids are playing Hitman: Blood Money. He also uses a disguise more than once. However, I did not see the fiber-wire or the famous coin. He did have the suit and the sniper rifle.
