September 19, 200619 yr this season look like it over with!!!!! what do you want to see done during off season? make us better team
September 19, 200619 yr if we sign a few good arms and get a CF, i think we can contend with the mets next year
September 19, 200619 yr build up a solid bullpen behind Tank and get a good young CF but we can talk about that in the offseason i want this season to finish up first.
September 19, 200619 yr Build up the pen. Add two middle relievers (Tank closer) or a closer and a middle reliever. I am not asking for 5 just 2 good relievers. A good young bright wonderful CF'er.
September 19, 200619 yr change of ownership :thumbdown change of manager why the thumb down?... he sucks hard
September 19, 200619 yr Author we start talking about off season this season is over we felling like rock now
September 19, 200619 yr I'm looking forward to being the 2007 World Series Champions. :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy Amen.
September 19, 200619 yr I'm looking forward to a revamped NL East, Marlins will be a GREAT team, with your young arms. Peace guys! Chea!
September 19, 200619 yr Here are the things I hope to see by Opening Day 2007: 1) Plans in place for a new stadium in South Florida. 2) Joe Girardi still in a Marlins uniform. 3) A young talented MLB ready centerfielder (hopefully someone non-arby eligible till at least 2010). 4) Three decent relievers (one reclaimation project and two solid relievers who aren't on their way out).
September 19, 200619 yr Not having to deal with brian moehler, randy messenger, reggie abercrombie, matt herges, chris resop, and jobo.

I forgot about the stadium. That is another must for next year.

September 19, 200619 yr Even Rich and Tommy took a great little jab at Loria during the telecast when Rich mentioned that the bullpen had to be a top priority for next year. Tommy agreed and said if you?re going to build a team around this talented starting pitching you absolutely need to give them some help. He made an analogy of buying a great house and filling it with junk. Yes, definitely a ballpark deal firmly in place would be a dream come true!
September 19, 200619 yr Author i heard that next week mlb going have meeting with owner and hialeah and miami about ball park let get deal done so we bring help to marlins in 2007
September 19, 200619 yr In no particular order: - Three new relief projects, hopefully one being: Kerry Wood (possible), Eric Gagne (doubtful) or Keith Foulke (hopeful). All three have tremendous upside if healthy, but I'd only pick up one. Wood would be a relief pitcher, btw. - A talented defensive CF who hits for good average and has a bit of pop. Gary Matthews Jr. would be a dream. - Re-sign Wes Helms and Alfredo Amezaga as bench players. The rest will take care of itself.

I don't think he is even arby eligible yet. I am definitely for keeping Amezaga. He is the Marlins scrappier version of Rob Mackowiak.
September 19, 200619 yr Helms, Amezega, and Cody will be great as bench/spot starters next year I'm just not sold on keeping Treanor. Id like a back-up with some pop at the plate in a Todd Pratt mold.
September 19, 200619 yr A couple more I'll add are: 7) Lock up Dontrelle Willis in a long term contract (something like 5 years/$30 million). 8) Lock up Miguel Cabrera in a long term contract (maybe 7 years/$70-$80 million). Now these are probably bigger pipe dreams than my numbers one and two, but if we manage to get a stadium deal who knows.
