October 8, 200322 yr all the Uggy this and Uggy that.... blow me.... he has sucked 2 straight games and Looper bailed us out.... where are the praise Loop threads? nowhere some of you suck
October 8, 200322 yr HELL YEA! i was going to make a LOOP IS BACK thread but i was came on the boards some time after the game finished and i figured someone would ahve made it already. i was disapointed when i saw none then i saw this thread soooo.... LOOP IS BACK!!!!!! lol i still like Uggy but i love Looper.
October 8, 200322 yr I didnt think Loop could do that. But he looked lights out tonight. Hopefully he has figured out whatever was wrong.
October 8, 200322 yr had to know it was just a matter of time before he got his confidence back. you could almost see it growing with every pitch tonight.
October 8, 200322 yr oh but ramp, ugie always has a mad face and looper smiles. that means that ugie is a closer and looper is not. mad faces make me feel calmer
October 8, 200322 yr oh but ramp, ugie always has a mad face and looper smiles. that means that ugie is a closer and looper is not. mad faces make me feel calmer That smile makes Loop look crazy...and crazy is better than mean.
October 8, 200322 yr Looper has his moments when he's kind of.....loopy. But when his stuff is on and he's got command of his pitches, he's one tough mother! Ugie couldn't close it out last night, but it was nice to see Looper step it up and close out the game when the pressure was on! :w00t
October 8, 200322 yr Loop is still da man...been behind him all season....but the team isnt worrying about who's better. They worry about the Ws
October 8, 200322 yr They worry about the Ws I think they are worrying about playing the Cubs first before any mention of a WS is heard. :mischief
October 8, 200322 yr Alright Urbina blew the save but he has been very important to us. He became closer because he showed the Marlins so many times how he can get out of jams without surrendering any runs. He has been very consistant and has really saved our bullpen's Asses.....

I haven't bashed either of them, I'm glad both are on my team. Urbina had a 1.41 ERA with us and Looper had 26 saves. They're both important bullpen parts.
October 8, 200322 yr Author Im not bashing Uggy.... I am commending Looper and I question why when Loop has a good game, no one has a Loop for Cy Young thread, but when he sucks, there are 4000 Loop should die threads
October 8, 200322 yr looper looks like a clown, its not really a smile, its more of a grin though but still...i hope he doesnt think its "intimidating" or "scary"....but good for him, we need him, thats his job by the way, to bail us out and/or close the game and he's FINALLY doing it so i dont see why we should praise him. Looper has been inconsistent and im just not a big fan of his but we're going to need him so he has to step up for the ball club
October 8, 200322 yr Author he's FINALLY doing it so i dont see why we should praise him. and what did he do for 4.5 months this year?
October 8, 200322 yr How soon they forget, Ramp. Seems like people don't remember when Braden would come in and slam the door day in and day out.
October 8, 200322 yr thats his job, but when hes been under pressure in the past few months he's just not been there.

I am commending Looper and I question why when Loop has a good game, no one has a Loop for Cy Young thread, but when he sucks, there are 4000 Loop should die threads This probably happens on other teams boards too. Somebody has to be the scapegoat for a loss, and if it's a blown save, the closer gets most of the blame from fans.

Seems like people don't remember when Braden would come in and slam the door day in and day out. i do remember, but that was a while back and he was great, i'm not denying that...But he has to step up NOW, and he did last night ..Remember Game 3 against the Giants?..he blew it. If you want to defend him defend him but what he did last night has to be done consistently from now on.....thats all that matters.
