Posted October 9, 200321 yr Rather than post this and get it buried in the thread, the Herald and the Chicago Tribune will be retracting their stories that Wayne Huizenga was at Wrigley Tuesday night rooting for the Cubs. The Chicago Tribune "broke" this story in Weds. editions have now learned that the person interviewed was not Wayne Huizenga, who was at home in Broward at the time.
October 9, 200321 yr i mentioned it in the original thread, but wasn't quite sure what was going on yet...... more reason not to believe everything we read.... (especially when it's in the Herald) Wayne says he is and will always be a Florida Marlins fan. Could've fooled me Wayne. Hey when I own the Marlins some day I think I'll handcuff them & make it impossible for them to make any money whatsoever.
October 9, 200321 yr wayne ho'zenga: wanted for TREASON by thousands of PROUD Marlins Fans.... b*tch! :angry
October 9, 200321 yr What a bizarre story. How did they found out the guy they interviewed wasn't Huizenga TWO DAYS LATER? A better question, what made them think that was him? And why didn't they ask him his name? Unbelievable.
October 10, 200321 yr Wayne Huizenga is the only guy on this planet that looks anything like Wayne Huizenga. MAYBE that guy from Wayne's World who owned Noah's Arcade comes close, but that's it. Unless it was that guy, I don't see how a reporter could make this mistake.

October 10, 200321 yr WIOD reported (around 5:30 this Friday morning) they had phoned the HERALD on this and couldn't get a response or a call-back. Burn 'em.
