October 10, 200322 yr Even though we lost on wednesday night against the Cubs i was still happy with one thing . they took out Sea Bass and put in cabs at SS that was what i have been waiting for, for the last 2 months . I argued with fish filets statement saying that Sea Bass wasnt in a slump but is playing at his level . Fish Filet was totally right in that statement i just didnt want to believe it . Now i see it and now i hope they act on it . You can only give a guy so many chances to produce at the plate till you sit him down . with Cabs , Lowell and Conine all at once it makes for one of the Deepest and most clutch line-up i have seen in Post season playoffs. Trader Jack please put Gonz to rest and lets score some big runs with our Clutch hitters.

If it was that easy to fix his problems he would have hit .800 this year. Well Bill Robinson worked with his hand placement and it did work for a few games but he just noticed that he has not been swinging level at the ball. All his outs have been on pop ups or ground balls. He is either choping or swinging up.
October 10, 200322 yr Im sorry, but I disagree with it being that easy to fix a problem. I played baseball through college, and I hit a little above .300 each year with fair power. Then my Junior year I went through the worst time in my baseball life. Nothing I did could fix it. I had the hitting coaches working with me every day, my team mates helped me. Nothing worked. Needless to say I hit .13- my jr. year and ended up hanging up my cleats, my swing just didn't work anymore. Now is Gonzo better than me? yes. but to put it in perspective the pitchers are better as the ones I faced as well. If your swing is f'ed as bad as gonzo's is it takes more than 2 days to find it.
October 10, 200322 yr Why would you want to break up a winning formula now? If Alex hadn't been in short in Game 1, then the Fish might have been down 0-2. Hey may not be hitting, but the man gets it done on the field and right now there is no reason to break up a winning formula.

October 11, 200322 yr Yep Sea Bass for SS! Even though he cant hit but he always saves are asses when he is a Shortstop. I think Cabs is too slow for That position....he has a big upper body that doesnt let him move
