But ya Elon opens the season today vs #9 UVA then plays Coastal Carolina and North Florida.

We have a great lineup coming back this year. Pitching will be interesting. Pretty deep starterwise, but the bullpen is going to be an adventure. Be nice if we could pull and an early upset of UVA. Have an incredibly tough schedule, but hopefully will be able to make the tourney again this year.

How is everyone's team looking?

wow...we still have about 4 weeks until Quinnipiac opens. We play 4 games in Tampa before going to Stetson, Bethune Corkman, and Dodgertown for a game vs LA's A league team. Then up to Viriginia and New York before we open at home in 5 weeks.

Quinnipiac has a good chance of making a push in the NEC again, but the pitching is still lacking, so don't look for another combined 34-0 loss in the NCAA tourney this year!

Lets go Canes!

I cant wait to see how weeks does this year. I think he can be a complete monster :)

GO NOLES!

Games against UNC Asheville tonight @ 5, tomorrow @ 1 and Sunday @ 1.

Noles are 3-0 after sweeping Tennessee last weekend.

What is your guys opinion on why college baseball isn't as popular as college basketball/football?

UNM beat Texas Tech 15-13 in the season opener earlier this week.

We play a three game set @ Arizona this weekend. We have got three guys in our infield that are studs, Daniel Stovall(1B), Jordan Pacheco(2B), and Ian Hollick(3B). All were named preseason All-Americans by the MWC. Our pitching staff looks weak again but as long as they can keep us in the game I think we will be fine due to our very powerful offense.

So FSU is beating some team 17-6 right now. I should go to a game

I went, got rained on, saw FSU pulverize UNC-Asheville and then left to get some dinner.

Now I am watching the Lady Noles beat Georgia Tech on FSN.

FSU Baseball will be fun. Dick Howser Stadium is a first-class facility.

It snowed on me at Howser on Saturday.... UF lost to VMI tonight also.... I really thought they would be a lot better than they were last year, still could be, just not a good start.

The majority of good players don't bother playing college baseball, especially since they have to go through the minors once they get drafted just about all the time.

Hey for some of you guys who like ACC teams, there's a website accselect.com that lets you view a wide variety of ACC sports. It's 5 bucks a month, but i think 4 if you wanna see one game, and they're showing Miami/UCLA all weekend.

I really don't know I wish they would televise more college baseball games. They're pretty exciting to watch. It might just be the fact that teams are more evenly matched in bball and football........... a lot of programs don't put as much effort into their baseball programs as they do into other major sports.

I'm sure its just a bad start.

Welcome to the site fellow G'ville'r

I went to the UCLA-Canes game.. I left in the 5th inning and the canes were up 2-0. There were only like 4-5 hits, pitching was dominating.

FSU swept UNCA out of Tally, UF got a Sunday win over VMI to avoid the sweep and UM swept UCLA and heads to Gville for the Gators this weekend

hopefully Tony Davis pitches for UF....absolutely filthy lefty....and the greatest pick off move ive ever seen

Miami is not a top five team. They played probably the worst game I've ever witnessed tonight at UF. The third baseman was horrible, cant throw to first or make contact. He also watched a pop up drop right next to him. SS booted an easy grounder with bases loaded two outs. Right fielder dropped a fly ball. On a ground ball to the pitcher with runners on the corners and one out, he held the ball like he was too cool to make a play, then realized there werent two outs and threw the ball over the catchers head. It was tough to watch.

is tony davis going to pitch for uf?

The Gators are going for a sweep of the Miami for the second straight time. Game is at 1:00, PACK THE MAC!

Elon probably going to complete the sweep of St. Joes today. Went out to the second game yesterday. The guys looked good. Nice bounce back after a rough start to the season last weekend.

8-5 canes through four. game is on sunsports now.

because espn refuses to show it until the end of the season, and tends to focus on college basketball. i wish espn would show college baseball once a week starting in the first of february. i think if espn showed it more, i see alot more people watching it.

also the whole minor league system hurts college baseball as well. i wish college baseball got big again...

Miami avoided the sweep. UF may find themselves in the top 40 after this weekend. Stetson has taken two from LSU comng into Sunday

Winning 7 out of the last 8 isn't bad. Sloppy baseball on both sides though.

FSU @ UF Tuesday night at 6:30

Elon travels to Miami this weekend for a three game series...Hopefully be able to pick up a game or two there.

Is Miami good this year? I haven't really seen much of a preview from them yet
