FOX could air games at 1pm again if they wanted to. It is a window....they paid alot for it...so MLB gives it.

From 1-7 pm on Saturdays, FOX has an exclusive window. At 7 pm, MLB.tv and MLBEI can show any games on.

Great, might as well stay up, drink some more Zagorka, and watch the game (assuming they play)

FOX blackouts don't apply outside the United States & Canada (Rogers SportsNet airs the FOX games there) I believe.

fast fact: up to a few years ago, espn had ei blocked on wednesdays for their baseball doubleheader coverage, but after espn went one night without showing baseball (they showed basketball instead), mlb took away the blackout window and opened up that date to ei. now, espn just shows one game, and they also gutted the alternate games they had up to 2005. espn still has a sunday night window that covers any game after 5 pm et (that's why the padres used to have their games listed as 2 local time instead of 2:05, otherwise it couldn't be shown on tv, technicality). few games are affected though, as only the rangers usually play sunday night games at home.

fox should be careful, as if they decide to not show baseball one day and instead show nascar (just an example), they could lose exclusive rights, just as espn did.

a friend in the atlanta area says it's not even raining and wondering what i'm talking about...

Told you so...they should start play before anything gets there. Hopefully it will be an official game by the time the worst arrives.

It's pouring right now.

If they play this game tonight I hope they have the good sense to sit Ramirez at least until the shallow portion of the outfield dries out.

Someone tell me Tankersley isn't a stoner :brigginbounce

What makes you say that about Tank?

Another Marlins Extra game blacked out by Comcast Tallahassee's refusal to pay FSN.

Hopefully TBS is not blacked out tonight.

Maybe you just missed the little comment from him a few minutes ago about who the closer might be.

Honestly though I threw the :brigginbounce in there because the comment was made in jest.

you shouldn't be blacked out from tbs, you're outside the blackout zone of 100 miles.

I know, but Comcast Tallahassee has no clue on how to behave.

TBS is the only MLB broadcaster that is a distance based blackout.

ESPN & MLB.tv/MLBEI are territory-wide blackouts.

I did miss it. Where was the comment aired? Anyway, if it's true, it's fine with me, as long as it doesn't affect his pitching, which I doubt it would. It would probably be hard for him to score any good weed anyway. He looks all of 14.

8:30-9:00 start is the story right now

is it wet on the field? it's like that time a few years back, right after the pre game stuff, rain started to come down and had a 3 hour delay...i'll try to find something to do until then...

WGN is blackout free, so on may 30th and september 27th, you can watch the marlins with len kasper on wgn, even if you live locally (and both of those games are on the sun package, so that's two more games you get there).
