GAME INFO:

FLORIDA MARLINS (6-4) AT ATLANTA BRAVES (7-3)

Starting Pitchers: Scott Olsen, LHP (2-0, 4.35) vs. Kyle Davies, RHP (0-0, 2.70)

TV: RADIO: | XM185

Scouting Report:

Marlins: Able to overcome allowing three first-inning runs, and four total walks, Olsen improved to 2-0 by beating the Phillies in his last start. The 23-year-old left-hander has struggled with his control, walking nine in 11 innings this season. He's struck out five. Lifetime against the Braves, Olsen is 1-2 with a 9.88 ERA in four starts.

Braves: Other than the back-to-back, two-out second-inning homers he surrendered, Davies was nearly perfect in his season debut against the Mets on Sunday. The 23-year-old right-hander matched a career high with eight strikeouts and issued just three walks. He has regained the confidence he lacked when he came back from right groin surgery to make six forgettable September starts last year. Since altering the placement of his hands during his windup three weeks ago, he's shown an ability to find more consistency with his location.

BRAVES TV: Turner Broadcasting System, that would be my TBS for the rest of you.

That's Ted Turner for you....always has to get his plugs in.

Enjoying the sweet taste of defeat Teddy?

We're still in first place and Davies is going to tomahawk the "best offense in the National League" tonight. I am not concerned one bit.

One game at a time baby, we'll see what happens tonight! Who did the game thread last night?

Ted Turner did the game thread last night and the Fish won that is why he did it again for tonight.

Simply put fish GIT-R-DONE!!!

Lets go Scotty Olsen. He needs to have a good game tonight.

1-2 vs Atlanta with an ERA over 10. :confused

Ted is an attention whore. Thanks to Chewie for recalling him from the asylum.

Kyle Davies is just as bad against the fish, 0-2 with a 9.22 ERA in five appearances and three of them starts. this could be a slugfest.

Good assumption.

The Launching Pad reveals itself tonight? Although Turner Field has been alot tamer compared to Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium.

Atlanta usually gets weather a bit before we do here in Tallahassee. We just had the Tornado Watch box issued until late tonight/early tomorrow morning. However this storms seems more Southern than previous storms.

*busts out 11Alive.com*

Looks like the coast is clear for North Georgia right now, the watch box issued for us in Tally reaches into Southern Metro Atlanta, but not Fulton County. This game should be going enough before the really bad stuff gets close.

we still have 2 hours........the storm is supposed to be an issue around 10 pm to midnight around these parts.

Does anyone happen to know what the deal is with the FOX Saturday game blackouts? I read somewhere that they affected games from 1 PM - 7 PM but was curious is the start time was considered in that. I'm trying to decide if it is worth it for me to stay up until 2 AM to watch the game...

For MLB.tv that is...

From 1-7 pm on Saturdays, FOX has an exclusive window. At 7 pm, MLB.tv and MLBEI can show any games on.

fox doesn't even show games until 4 pm now. wonder why we still have 1-4 blocked out...or is it just to prevent people from watching games during the day time?

Great, might as well stay up, drink some more Zagorka, and watch the game (assuming they play)
