Fish @ Rays 5/19 7:10pm from the Trop

This 10-game road trip has been especially tough for the Marlins, who seem to have the habit of running into teams on a hot streak. A weekend at Tampa Bay is the Marlins' last shot at finishing the three-city road swing at .500.

A day after Florida stomped Tampa Bay to end the Rays' four-game win streak, the Marlins will send their ace, Dontrelle Willis, to the mound to try to ensure their success continues.

Willis is winless in three May starts, but it hasn't been for lack of quality. The 25-year-old took the hard-luck loss Monday at Pittsburgh, but allowed just two runs over six innings, fanning four and walking four.

D-Train has battled poor run support lately, but the Marlins have scored more than 20 runs over the last four games, so there's hope the bats will stay warm in St. Petersburg.

Willis is 1-1 with a 1.38 ERA in two outings against the Rays in his career.

The Rays will counter with Jae Seo. A right-hander, Seo is coming off of his most impressive outing of the season. He held Toronto scoreless on two hits through seven innings, walked two and fanned seven.

Despite the solid showing, Seo has struggled to consistently keep his pitches down in the zone, and as a result, has yet to string together two successful outings.

Seo is 4-3 in 11 career outings (10 starts) against Florida, and holds a 2.52 ERA against the Marlins.

The Marlins are 31-19 all-time against the Rays.

Pitching matchup

FLA: LHP Dontrelle Willis (5-3, 5.14 ERA)

Willis has pitched just seven career games on turf, compared to 129 on grass. Tropicana Field has artificial turf.

TB: RHP Jae Seo (2-3, 7.26 ERA)

Right-handed hitters have hit .302 off him this season.

Player to watch

Miguel Cabrera is the lone current Marlins player with more than one hit against Seo. Cabrera has scattered four hits against Seo, walked twice and collected one RBI.
