Team 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 R H E

Cleveland 1 0 0 0 1 1 0 1 0 4 11 0

Florida 0 0 1 4 2 0 0 0 x 7 7 1

W: Livan Hernandez (1-0) L: Orel Hershiser (0-1) S: Robb Nen (1)

HR: CLE ? Manny Ramirez (1), Jim Thome (1) FLA ? Moises Alou (1), Charles Johnson (1)

Game 1 featured a youngster and a veteran facing each other on the mound. Fresh off his NLCS MVP performance, Livan Hernandez took the hill for the Marlins and quickly gave up a run in the 1st thanks to a double by leadoff man Bip Roberts and an RBI single by David Justice. Indian starter Orel Hershiser got by the first two innings unscathed. However, after the Marlins tied the game in the 3rd they scored 4 runs in the 4th. The inning climaxed when Moises Alou and Charles Johnson hit back-to-back homers (Alou's was a three run shot off the left field foul pole). The Fish added two in the 5th to knock Orel out of the game. The Indians crept back in the game slowly thanks to solo shots by Manny Ramirez and Jim Thome and entered the 9th inning down only 7-4. Florida closer Robb Nen came in and was able to get out of a jam by striking out Sandy Alomar and Thome with two men aboard.

AND NOW, 10 YEARS LATER, YOUR 2007 FLORIDA MARLINS!!!

I was checking this out earlier to get an Indians fans perspective.

We shall be victorious!

Cant wait going to the game tonight row 2 behind the dugout w00t!

I hope this doesnt get rained out, not looking to nice outside

Any news on weather it looks really nasty outside

It will be fine. Still 3 hours before game time.

Optimist. This is "one" of the reasons that kills attendance. A good opponent, a special event and this crappy weather. I told my wife to still pick up the tickets for tonite, but the other people who were going with us are backing out. Hopefully, the energy for the thunderstorms are all used up by gametime.

I got my hands on a set of tickets for tomorrow nights matchup! Section 144, Row 13. Holla if you will be around that section!

Yea it should be fine, everything is over Miami Now, in an hour or so everything will be fine. Crazy weather though, hurricane type it felt like.

It is NASTY outside. Not a blue spot for....god knows how far. I dont think this one will get in.....though it could clear up in 3 hours.

Class tonight, dissapointed I won't be able to watch considering the special occasion, but :marlins

Though from the sounds of the posts in this thread, doesn't look like I'll be missing a game, haha.

I'm heading out in about an hour, but I'm worried about the top left cell of rain that is coming down. You can see it in the link that Holly posted. Anyone know if that cell could affect us? Cause if it doesn't it seems clear for the rest of the night

I doubt it, but knowing my luck it will. Not a good chance it will hit us. Even if it does, its not that big and it will pass

But right now seems like everything is clearing up

Go down to the stadium and support our team. I'll be stuck at my house with Indians fans :o .

Oh no Gravy Sizemore...

Olsen better pitch good today - him and his crabby ass.

How is Olsen feeling? He had the flu all weekend....or 'flu like symptoms' and could only eat lettuce. If he pitches well he should never eat anything but lettuce again.

Hopefully Olsen will stop sucking today.

Carmona's success thus far has been a total house of cards affair, and he's due for some regression any day now. Would be nice to see it tonight.

Unfortunately, Travis Hafner's due to go on a tear...
