October 16, 200322 yr So for the first two games in either NY or Boston, What would be your choice for Designated hitter. If we're facing a right hander i think Cabrera should play right field and either Hollandsworth or Banks should designate since they're leftys but i think Jack will move Encarnacion back to right (considering his solid defense) and play Cabrera as DH.
October 16, 200322 yr Hands down Encarnancion but I think Lowell should be rested by letting him DH while Cabs goes back to 3rd base and Encarnacion back to RF.
October 16, 200322 yr At least a DH will allow us to have that 9th starter we have on the bench into the game (Encarnacion). He'll definately be inserted in RF. But I think Conine will be the one DH'ing, with Cabs going to LF.
October 16, 200322 yr speaking of DH, who do you think we should DH for in the lineup? i dunno about you, but i'd rather have a DH hit for sea bass than for the pitcher's 9 spot
October 16, 200322 yr I feel so confident going into the WS. Doesn't even matter who we play. My confidence level was not nearly this high during the first 2 rounds.
October 16, 200322 yr A-Gon will bat in the pitchers spot with the DH hitting 8th unless Cabs DH's. I personally hope for Lowell at 3rd unless he is still bothered by his injury. Enc in right, 9ner left, Lowell/Cabs 3rd. For home games go with what won the NLCS.
October 16, 200322 yr Author i rather have Cabreras big time arm in left field, Encarnacions solid defenses in right field , and i mean Lowell ain't doing bad job on the field, he should play 3rd and Conine DH.

C'mon - did you forget the plays Conine made against the Phils and the Giants? No way Conine comes off the field. I DH Lowell or Cabs. I would also try and have Redman make all his starts in the AL park. Having Redman not bat will be a tremendous advantage for the Marlins. He is so pathetic at the plate it is usually embarassing. :hat

October 16, 200322 yr DH Cabs since Lowell is the better, more experienced fielder. Play Lowell at third. Play Encarnacion in RF.
October 16, 200322 yr :thumbup Thanks for the deifinition... In that case, Encarnacion benched and come out in the 9th like they've been doing it up until now.
October 16, 200322 yr conine-DH. No... Cabrera will DH...I would rather have someone experienced in the field play then a rookie who often makes mistakes (He has made made great plays but he makes many mistakes.).As for left-handed starters I would pick Hollandsworth to DH.
October 16, 200322 yr Cabrera probably has more range and obviously has a better arm.... but you cant go wrong with Conine's D either... its a win win
October 16, 200322 yr I think it is amazing that we can switch players around depending on the circumstances. I think that conine, lowell, cabs, and enc will all start at one point or another in this series. i dont know how it will go the first night since i dont know who will be the opposing pitcher as of yet. no matter what IN MCKEON WE TRUST
