Junior
I heard on the Score he was cleaning out his locker today. Didn't say anything about the Fish though. There's your CFer.

Ralph
disgusting.... Ok maybe not what I was expecting but he'd be a solid platoon with Ross in CF.
TSwift25
I'd be curious if this signals a Jeremy demotion, or just a bench bolstering.
Junior
I'd be curious if this signals a Jeremy demotion, or just a bench bolstering. He was playing CF some with the Cubs. Not sure if it will even affect Hermida.
HelmsE
Wow... despite having no confirmation or details about this I'm optimistic about the move. Now I just have to wait until tomorrow morning to find out the details

No this means Bye Borch or Bye Carroll. I actually like this trade a bit more when you look at Jones splits vs righties last year and Ross's splits vs lefties. Nice platoon in cf. JetsMania
Jacque Jones 201 AB, 2 HR, .234 average, 20 RBIÂ http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/players/playerpage/21592
Hotcorner
The Cubs had signed him to a 3 year 16 million per year deal in 2006.  Not hitting well this season but had a very solid '06: .285 .334 .499 .833  27 HR, 81 RBI
Junior
Jacque Jones 201 AB, 2 HR, .234 average, 20 RBIÂ http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/players/playerpage/21592 Yeah, but look at his numbers from last year. He's an upgrade over Amezaga.

Not sure if it will even affect Hermida. I guess, but that was more to get Cliffy's bat in the lineup, I thought. I mean, he could play center, but I have no reason to assume that Beinfest one day woke up and got fed up with Amezaga. I'm just going on incumbent advantage here, and I believe in the organization's eyes, Amezaga's done nothing to play himself out of a job...especially considering Jones bats lefty and Amezaga's exponentially more effective as a left-handed hitter. JetsMania
2004-2006 he averaged 25 homers and 76 RBI. I wonder why he is playing so poorly this year?
Ramp
hopefully we didn't give up something major in our system

There has been rumors swirling around him all year, and he has been getting bashed in the media and by the fans. I bet that has alot to do with it. He's a high character guy, and was getting bashed before the year even after the number he put up last year because of his contract. It's a good pickup pending what you gave up.
