I don't think so, considering they did this whole honoring Griffey thing when he returned to Seattle this year and the whole ceremony took like an hour.

Judging by his reception by the team in Seattle this year, I doubt it.

Well what they did in Seattle was the right thing to do, doesn't mean they wanted to do it. Ya know, sort of like Bud Selig showing up to Bonds breaking the HR record. But that's not what this thread is about! :lol

If Griffey would ever anounce he is returning to Seattle, that day there would be a ticker tape parade in downtown Seattle

The Mariners aren't expected to call up Adam Jones for Thursday's game.

The site that filed the report has backed off it now, and the Mariners have done nothing to suggest it's going to happen. "I haven't heard anything about Jones coming up," hmanager John McLaren said. "I haven't heard anything about it at all." Perhaps it's something the Mariners will consider later this month.
