October 17, 200323 yr I have to go with Jeter, but that's because i've always hated him due to his being overrated by the New York and national media. But I want to know what all of you think.
October 17, 200323 yr The Yanks players aren't that easy to root against, most of the players are generally good guys. I root against Steinbrenner. Also I don't like Soriano for some reason...
October 17, 200323 yr Hmmm. I always thought that Jeter was a solid player with the brain of a five year old and the voice of a squeaky thirteen year old. He gets my vote!
October 17, 200323 yr I think Zimmer Quit after the LCS and is No Long part of the Yankees...? I heard on ESPN radio that he was not going to be back next year. Didn't hear that he quit now though.
October 17, 200323 yr David Wells, by far. Arrogant, loud, fat, old - you name it, he's got it. DJ is a scream - "Derek Jeter's Taco Hole" @ SNL
October 17, 200323 yr I can't really say I "hate" any of those guys. All good solid ballplayers. I'm with Ramp though, I have never liked Jeff Nelson and I don't know why - just kind of smug I guess. Not a big fan of Contreras either
October 17, 200323 yr I'm a Yanks fan as well and I DESPISE Roger Clemens. I can't wait till we beat them and he can retire! :thumbdown
October 17, 200323 yr bahahahha the only yankee billy G. hates is wells. yanks are pretty cool other than that. Billy G. admires DZ for sticking up for his player even tho hes old man. Billy G. wants marlins to win, but doesn't hate yanks. yanks are cool. steinbrainer is funny. BAHAHAHHAHHHH ~BILLY G.
October 17, 200323 yr I hate Giambi because when the A's lost to them in the playoffs two years ago he said "If we could only keep these guys together we will be back next year." Days later he signed with the Yankees' when the A's offered the same contract to him! It wouldn't have been so bad if he hadn't bad mouthed the Yankees while with the A's and then bad mouthed the A's while with the Yankees.
October 17, 200323 yr Jeter-he is so over rated and gets so much credit for things he dosent deserve at all.
October 17, 200323 yr I disagree with those who say Jeter is overrated.... he is on the of the most "clutch"(there's that word again) players in postseason history
October 17, 200323 yr The only Yankee I dont like is Wells all the other guys are cool, but I do hate steinbrenner.
October 17, 200323 yr Author I disagree with those who say Jeter is overrated.... he is on the of the most "clutch"(there's that word again) players in postseason history Jim Leyritz was incredibly clutch during his career in the postseason. Does that make him a good player? I know the comparision is ridiculous, but you aren't "great" just because you are clutch, there is a big difference.
October 17, 200323 yr Author jeter IS over rated! tell me why. I just did in my last post concerning his post season clutchness (is that a word?) But anyways, if you want to look at regular season stats, he hits for great average, but his run production in the home run and RBI categories are poor, and you can find a defender like him at shortstop pretty easily. If he played anywhere but New York, he would have only 1 or 2 all star games on his resume if that IMO.
