August 3, 200719 yr I think he's still not used to how to deal with the media and doesn't want to outright call them out in the media. If you look at his mentor, Bobby Cox, he rarely blew up to the media. He blows up in the dugout and gets tossed with the greatest of ease, but dealing with the media is another animal and I think he still is learning how to use it as a tool.

Seems like alot of folks feel that way. I'm not one of them. I do think he could use some fine tuning with his media relations but I don't think that as fans we have the God given right to hear about the butt chewings etc that goes on behind closed doors.

August 3, 200719 yr I think a lot of people know Fredi is a puppet, and a nice puppet at that, and I think Beinfest deserves almost all the blame in the Julio and Benitez disasters but Fredi is the manager so he's the one who gets the blame for the game decisiosn even if he was doing what he was ordered to do. It may not be fair but that's how it is. I guess he shouldn't allow himself to be a puppet but maybe if he didn't allow himself to be a puppet he wouldn't have gotetn the job in the first place.
August 4, 200719 yr /benitez blowing saves?!.....thats a revelation.....maybe the Rockies will take his sorry butt too!!!! If they are serious about Gregg, and the young kids then use them for the rest of the year, the fish ain't winnig anything this year just get rid of 49 and use the kids,,,,
