Was HGH a banned substance in 2004?

It was illegal way before that.

Before I get the "but the league didn't ban steroids" argument. Shouldn't athletes, like everyone else, follow state and federal laws?

Do the leagues officially have to ban speeding, rape and murder so athletes can obey laws?

But it wasn't a banned substance then

Not that I care... everyone else uses them too

Well, if you excuse Ankiel then don't you have to excuse Bonds? Does anyone here think Bonds was wrong but not Ankiel? And, if so, what's the difference?

For me, this pretty much takes all the fun out of this feel good story.

If something is against federal and state law doesn't that imply that its use is prohibited by a sport because said sport is run in the boundaries of the United States?

You do realize it's illegal in this country right?

Well I formally take everything good I said back about this douchebag. If it helps keep the Cubs out of the playoffs though, I'm not going to lose any sleep. Although I will say this, to compare Ankiel (a guy trying to get back to the big leagues) to Bonds, (a hall of famer before HGH and juice that didn't need to take it), is silly. What Ankiel did is just as wrong as what Bonds did and vise versa, but at least Ankiel had reason to do it, as he might not have made it to the majors again without the stuff, whereas Bonds CLEAN was a hall of famer.

LOL

Craig being Craig.

HGH is not illegal, it is illegal without a prescription.

(Seriously, he is, don't f*** with him)

This is going to be a real douche bagy thing to say, but I'm in a douche bag mood.

Still think it's a better story then Hamilton?

Yes, because Ankiel was using drugs in 2004, the best story goes to Hamilton because he was using more drugs in 2004.
