August 17, 200718 yr I gave up hating on Olivo since I know in my heart that he is going to be here the rest of this year, next year, and quite possibly for a very long time to come. The fact that he played himself into a cheaper contract(although he never deserved $2 mil this year in the first place) only adds to my speculation that he will be brought back...cheaply...if not given a 2-3 year deal.

August 17, 200718 yr yea Olivo just continues with the pass balls it is just sickening to watch. Barone was serving it up basically, think we got a little lucky we didnt get knocked up more. Hanley and Jacobs ripped it up no doubt. i do have to give props to O - Dog on that play he made on Hanley though. if Hanley just gets that hit or gets a fielders choice..... man, its another game lol
August 17, 200718 yr Yup same ol'...everyday Olive just finds a way to f*** s**** it up, incredible. We should have cut him instead of Kim, and brought up Baker instead of Barone. The dood is getting hammered out there...imo to make it with the big boys, you either gotta throw hard, or have good movement. And all the kid has is control, however that comes back to bite him in the ass because his fastball is mediocre and he is just throwing watermelons out there. Fredi, pleaaaaase bench Olivo, look how treanor went 3 for 3 (?). Come on man, use your brain.

August 17, 200718 yr Treanor went 2-3 I think but even the out was a laser right at 3B. Frustrating loss because it felt like we were going to win somehow. Barone just put them in too much of a hole. Great work by Gardner once again.
