September 23, 200718 yr Can this thread just die. Can this Castro just die. :mischief He's already dead. Trust me, they're doing another Tito (and I believe Stalin or some other former Soviet leader as well). My sarcasm detector might be off but, :| There are photos of him with Greenspans' new book and such.

What makes you think the Cubans couldn't (and wouldn't) do the same thing?
September 25, 200718 yr Accord.....I agree with your thought that more real "off" time would be very nice. I'm also not quite sure what you signed up for and how the military works for soldiers. Are you saying that there is something going on for you personally that was unforeseen or misrepresented? . . . In any case...it seems like the Democratic maneuver could only hopefully lead to something that I assume would increase the quality and quantity of life for a military man like yourself. Namely, an end to the war. . . I always wish you a safe return and all the best in your service to our country. .

A democratic maneuver will not lead to an increase in quality and quantity of life for those in the military, infact it will be the complete opposite. We want to deploy to Iraq, we want to get out of places like Camp Lejeune and Fort Bragg and we want to go over there, civilians don't understand that. They think we don't want to be there and that's not true at all. Ask any 20+ year military man who served throughout the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's and he will be the first one to tell you how absolutely horrible the military became under Clinton, and a democratic victory will only be another nightmare for us, just a different generation. Regardless of politics, thank you for the kind words.

I guess I was just hoping.
