October 21, 200322 yr I'm curious how a team with a 52 million dollar payroll is going to pay Vlad, even if Pudge does leave. There is/was a theory, but I think it died when this team won the wild card.

October 21, 200322 yr I just wanted to add my opinion. If Pudge is sent off to another team, fans will take this as another fire sale, because he is such a hero and leader of this team. However, I believe other guys can be sent off such as D Lee (I don't want this to happen, but someone has to go) and the fans will let it slide. I believe it is necessary to keep at least 2 of the following to keep the fans coming back: Pudge, Castillo, Lee, Lowell Although, I'm pretty sure we will see Lowell next year because the fans like him. The only thing I really want for this team is to see us with Lowell and Pudge and hopefulling Castillo, representing the largest part of our pay roll.

It would be nice to keep Luis but he could be let go. The two guys that really need to stay are pudge and lowell. I'am sure we could find a good solid replacement for Luis.
October 22, 200322 yr It would be great if we can keep pudge. He has droven in most of our runs, specially in key situations. I hope Beinfest keeps him here because i know pudge would love to stay.
