Going farther back then 66 would alter the points way too much, in addition AFL teams were not allowed to compete in NFL championship games. NFL and AFL are two separatle leagues. February 5, 200818 yr Author Spygate and the Denver Broncos aren't better than the Dolphins. I agree to an extent. When I look at it I say the Raiders had a good run but have not been consistent at all. I was thinking of a way to include extra points for consistency with making the playoffs. I also though about adjusting the points for the salarycap era, but that would really only help a few teams and mostly the patriots.

February 6, 200818 yr IDK - I still don't think SB wins are weighted enough. The Chiefs have won a SB, for example, but are rated lower than Jacksonville and Philly and the Panthers and Bills... Same with the Jets. I guess I also don't like seeing the Vikings so high [all those playoff opportunities and only a SB LOSS to show for it??]. They had a good run with the Purple People Eaters, for example, but never got it done. I guess I'm saying that the system is weighted too far towards mediocrity [bills and Vikes] and not enough towards World Champions.

That basically takes the dolphins out of the top 10. I think Bret Farve has taken the title away from Marino. Most popular team to come out of the AFL? Tell that to the people of south florida...
February 7, 200818 yr IDK - I still don't think SB wins are weighted enough. The Chiefs have won a SB, for example, but are rated lower than Jacksonville and Philly and the Panthers and Bills... Same with the Jets. I guess I also don't like seeing the Vikings so high [all those playoff opportunities and only a SB LOSS to show for it??]. They had a good run with the Purple People Eaters, for example, but never got it done. They havent been around long enough nor have they even made a superbowl.

Tell that to the people of south florida... yeah id probably agree with them dropping quite a bit...in fact...i think the packers franchise has probably been better overall anyways... and the guy with more career INT's than anyone else cant possibly be the best passer of all-time...best "gun" slinger...sure... and we have been a bad team for about 5 years now...i cant blame fans for not selling out the place, they have been a very difficult team to watch in recent years...but come on...there is a reason they were selected for london this past year, there is alot of great history behind the franchise and people recognized that...
February 7, 200818 yr They were selected for London because they weren't gonna sell out DS and there was more ticket revenue to be had there /cheap shot *yes, I know they chose the dolphins/giants before the season, yes I know the dolphins are a storied franchise... etc* Also, what I think may help get the dolphin people to stop whining about being as low on the list as they are... find some way to factor in average wins/season into the equation, having the most all time wins (going into the coming season, leaving with the Cowboys and Steelers barring something crazy happening) should give the Dolphins a little bump, and it will be more indicative to the regular season success of the Dolphins and other teams... however, the Superbowl/Playoff wins would need some kind of additional boost, nothing huge, just something to compensate for the average wins per season factor... So, it'd be something like, average wins per year... plus Marlins 97-03's list with an adjustment similar to, but not necessarily like this: Explanation of Years: Just the year means they made the playoffs (1 point), also years bolded won division (+2 point). Year followed by ?C? means they lost in the Conference Championship Game (5 points), Year followed by ?SL? means they lost the Super Bowl (7 points), and Year followed by ?S? means they won the Super Bowl (15 points).

February 7, 200818 yr That's why it's a joke... :huh its ridiculous to think DS wouldnt have sold out for the giants/fins game...if nothing else, there would have been alot of new yorkers who bought up the remaining seats
