February 24, 200818 yr The plan is for Fredi to announce the starting pitcher today. The rest of the lineup I am not sure.
February 24, 200818 yr I thought I read where he was going to start all his regulars. Who those regulars are remain to be seen
February 24, 200818 yr Author I dont know why but isnt it usually the young SP that starts. Im guessing it will either be Volstad, Gaby, or Miller for some reason.
February 25, 200818 yr After Keppel, Chris Seddon, Jesus Delgado, Joe Nelson, Taylor Tankersley, and Lee Gardner are scheduled to pitch for the Marlins.
February 25, 200818 yr Does anyone know if the Marlins have any interest in UM first baseman Yonder Alonso? Many say he will go in the first round in next year's MLB draft. Earlier this week Fredi was seen on the UM campus saying hello to Coach Morris. When Morris asked Fredi what he was doing there, Fredi replied "scouting". Don't know if he was kidding or not, but we'll see. I believe the Fish have the #6 pick in the draft this year.

Baseball America has him down as the #5 overall College Prospect in the nation. But one would think that since they went after a position player in the first round last year that they would go after a pitcher this year, but it's hard to say.

One thing to keep in mind when drafting is to not let previous years draft affect your pick.

February 26, 200818 yr Lineup for Hurricanes: In Tuesday's exhibition against the University of Miami, the starters are expected to get two at-bats. That, of course, is subject to change by manager Fredi Gonzalez. The Marlins traditionally take on the Hurricanes before they open their Grapefruit League schedule. Bobby Keppel will be the starting pitcher. The projected lineup will feature shortstop Ramirez, second baseman Uggla, first baseman Mike Jacobs, third baseman Jose Castillo, Rabelo, left fielder Josh Willingham, center fielder Cody Ross and right fielder Jeremy Hermida. Luis Gonzalez will be the designated hitter. http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/news/articl...sp&c_id=fla That should be the lineup for tomorrow. Game can be heard on 90.5 FM Radio?
February 26, 200818 yr Also, our franchise is stacked in pitching now and in the future. We need a few position players in the mix.
February 26, 200818 yr The game can be heard on "The Voice of the Hurricanes" WVUM 90.5 FM and streamed online at WVUM 90.5 FM
