hi there marlins fans. We want to go to a marlins game when we visit Florida from the UK later this year. We will be taking our childen (10 and 12) and would appreciate some advice on the best seats to buy. We don't want to spend too much money and have seen tickets in the infield boxes which would suit our budget. What do you guys think?

I'm sure most people here would be more helpful than I am, but I would suggest buying seats in the Infield Box (sections 143-156), preferably behind the Marlins dugout. The seats will cost you $37 a person but they are pretty good and close enough to the action. If your budget allows it, you can pay $47 per person and sit in the Infield Box MVP seats which are essentially the same view of the field, only several rows closer.

If you are coming in from abroad I would advise against sitting in the outfield. The seats might be cheaper but you won't be getting the full experience.

If you were gonna sit in the Infield Box, I would recommend the Bullpen box seats instead. They're cheaper and and if you sit in section 106, the seats are actually at an angle so you don't have to spend the whole game looking over at one side like you have to in the Infield Box. May just be a personal preference of mine, but I've been sitting in that section since 1994 and it's never steered me wrong.

Infield Box seats are great, but if money is an issue you can also enjoy the terrace box seats at an affordable price, and when you get there you can actually sit all the way down since not many fans go to games, that is what I use to do as a kid. Arrive two hours early so you can catch batting practice, and then after the games meet the players in Gate A with baseball cards, balls, 8 X 10's, if they are in a good mood they will sign you some autographs. Hope this helps, feel free to PM me for more questions.

I moved upstairs after years around the infield and for $15 a ticket (I think it is ) on friday and saturday nights you buy the front row of the upperdeck and have a spectacular view of the game. Admittedly it's not as intimate as downstairs the trade off is you get to watch as plays unfold, you really get the texture of the game being able to watch as different players do their thing on each play.

I love it. It isn't like some stadiums where there are two or three levels and you're in what we affectionately call nosebleed seats, you get a really good look at the game.

Might be worthwhile to try both while your here - upstairs and an infield box - someone - maybe another person here can remember who it is - but there are two-for-one seats in the boxseats the infield side of the bullpens on weeknights so that would be very affordable if you want to be right "on" the field.

Prices shouldn't be a concern considering your money is worth so much more than ours. :tissue

The infield boxes are good if you want your kids to have fun get tickets in the outfield and get to the game about an hour and a half early so you can catch some Homerun balls during batting practice.

You do know you don't need the OF seats to go out there for BP. We have never asked people to move out of our seats during BP. And the people that regularly sit around/near us don't either. Most of us don't even go down for BP. We get plenty of balls during the course of the year (ground rule doubles, HRs and between inning warm ups) and rarely do any of us even keep those. Just flip em to the kiddos around us.

When I was a youngin (Game 2 of the 1993 season) I sat in right field and got 2 baseballs.....lol I used to get balls there ALL the time. Now I haven't got one in years. Although, I haven't taken a glove since I was a kid.

Hi guys, your advice has been super speedy and brilliant...we have booked our infield box mvp seats and may well see you there on 23rd July vs. the Atlanta Braves. Come on the Marlins!! Thank you to you all.

Have a great time. You made a good choice. Be prepared for the heat, bring a hat. And as for the food, it stinks, but being from the UK you're used to bad food anyway.
