October 26, 200322 yr I know none of the specifics about the situation, but based on this incredible postseason run by a very young team, and the fact that Loria seems like a good owner, I think you should and will get a new stadium.
October 26, 200322 yr I still say no... Being outside of the market (and too lazy to look into it), I still don't know enough about the situation, but like DT, my hunch is to say no. I have no faith in the city to help us out, at all.

October 26, 200322 yr If the Marlins and the City/County can't come up with a solution for the $75 million difference between them right now, the team needs to move to Orlando, Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale, anywhere in the state that would do it.

October 26, 200322 yr I think we will. They will look deeper into this stadium issue this off season. Well we are champs what else do they want from us.

October 26, 200322 yr every other major sports franchise in south florida has their own stadium. the dolphins have PPS. the heat have the AAA. the panthers had to move, but they got the ODC. when was the last time any of them won a championship? what's that, you say? 30 years ago? the marlins have brought the only pro sports championships to south florida in recent memory, so it's kinda ridiculous they dont have a home yet. i think the pressure on the politicians will be too huge. they cant shaft us this time.

October 26, 200322 yr Yes. It may not be this year that financing is settled, but maybe by summer or next winter. It may not even be a new ballpark, but I think this postseason and what decisions Loria makes this offseason will show the city that the team deserves and needs (unlike many teams who whine for new stadiums) to move out of Pro Player.

October 26, 200322 yr It'll either be the Miami Arena site or the Orange Bowl...I prefer Miami Arena, but I think the land is already available at the OB...either one is fine with me, since both have good locations near Metrorail, which will be greatly expanded by 2007. I believe there will be a line to PPS, which would be great for Browardites...

October 26, 200322 yr The metrorail won't be greatly expanded by 2007: They haven't even started construction! The Miami Arena site is the only worthy spot If they put it in the OB it would just be horrible in that crappy area!
