May 20, 200818 yr Triple-A Albuquerque's Dallas McPherson hit three homers on Monday, giving him 15 for the season. Despite 58 strikeouts in 40 games, McPherson is hitting .297/.396/.659. The Marlins are still playing well enough that it's unlikely they'll instigate any big changes. However, it'd be nice to see McPherson get an opportunity at some point within the next month or so. Jorge Cantu isn't a long-term answer for Florida. McPherson probably isn't either, but the talent is still there. c/o Rotoworld. his BABIP must be out of control if he's hitting .297 with that many k's. Anyone know where to get that information?
May 20, 200818 yr How's his fielding? The offensive numbers don't mean much in the PCL, can he catch and throw?
May 20, 200818 yr I believe he had 6 error last time I look but those that play with him say he has been great defensively
May 20, 200818 yr Dallas McP's batting average is no big deal..There are 3 players in the PCL with avg over .400 In fact a player is hitting .440 in 155 ABs. His Ks are off the chart he has the most with 49 in 110 ABs 2nd with 45 in 129 ABs is a Familiar name...Reggie Abercrombie. All u Jai Miller lovers, he is 4th in Ks with 41 in 144 ABs However I believe Dallas has now taken the HR lead in the PCL and is near the lead in OPS (League stats have yet to update yesterday's games) http://minors.baseball-reference.com/bat_l...PCL&sort=HR
May 20, 200818 yr I think he can be a big addition when rosters expand later this year if he stays healthy

His BABIP is .400. I use firstinning.com but there are plenty more. It would be way higher if he didn't hit so many homeruns.

May 20, 200818 yr Batting Average on Balls In Play It's batting average on any ball hit between the fair lines Excludes, K's, foulouts... etc Are you sure it excluded foul outs? The formula I got from firstinning was (H-HR)/(AB-HR-SO). Wouldnt it say Ab-Hr-So-foul outs. Is there an actual stat for foul outs?
