If Matt's injury keep him out for a long time, what happens next? Do they go back to Rabelo (ugh)? Call up Baker? Or does this make a trade happen faster?

It's not like we are going to miss treanor... seriously anyone you plug in there will have numbers just as bad as his.

I hope they call up Baker, but they probably will call up Rabelo. Also they could pull the trigger on a trade. They most likely option is the Reds David Ross. Ross though is not even an upgrade, maybe even a step down from Treanor.

Robelo looked lost last night in the AAA game I was at. Baker performed well today for Albuquerque

I have a feeling were gonna see a Hendrickson for D. Ross deal in the nest 24 hours.

i honestly want to trade hendrickson to an AL team for a flippin catcher. The rangers need SP!

I say tomorrow we put in Hendrickson as catcher and hope he gets run over at home or takes a few pitches to the nads. That might not remedy our catcher problem, but it would sure make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I think a good option would be Paulino from the Pirates. He's had two decent season in 06' and 07', and the Pirates are down on him right now. He's only 27 so maybe he can shake off the bad season he is having thus far in 08'. The best part is that we can buy low, which is what the Marlins would want. Not sure what we would have to give up, but it couldn't be too much. I like that fact that he is still fairly young, and has two season of MLB experience behind him. Not sure how good he is or isn't behind the plate. I don't think David Ross from the Reds would be an upgrade.

Paulino was sent down to the minors and doing pretty well for himself until he was injured. Sprained ankle, it looks like around the middle of June which would put him pretty close to being back on the active list shortly.

We call up Baker or the ideal move would be to trade for a catcher but I doubt thats going to happen.
