July 16, 200817 yr LVP-Uggla  I can't think of an uglier game played by a Marlin ever. 0-4 3K's, 3 errors, well at least he got to play in this game, if thats any consolation.
July 16, 200817 yr To be honest, I never want to see him at another All-Star game. He missed 2006, as if that wasn't a hint, I hope tonight was. This hurts as a Marlins fan regardless if you watched the game it hurts. Hanley went 2-3... once again he had an error. 4 errors by the Marlins... this is either going to build them up or ruin them, both young guys.

So if a player had one really bad game, they should never play again? Ever?
July 16, 200817 yr I say before, the team have to work on their defense, everyone goes crazy with the homeruns but the defense show you up big time.

No Rab, but it almost feels like something is saying "stay away"... or he could go 3-3 with a HR next year. idk I am watching Baseball tonight, waiting to see what will be said.
July 16, 200817 yr O, btw Wagner definitely lost this game the Mets and Phillies have nothing on us plus Hanley went 2-3

July 16, 200817 yr Well, Dan Uggla has pretty much made a fool of himself in front of the entire baseball-watching world. Shame. And you get the feeling based on this performance he'll never see another one again. Hopefully people will forget. I'm sure Dan won't.

He didn't miss 2006, Gardner just didn't want to use him. He had a bad game, plain and simple. He'll play in more ASGs in the future, it will be fine. The BT guys hate us enough, I don't even want to hear anything from them.

July 16, 200817 yr I love you Dan Uggla, but you must be the sickest man in America right now. Yes, then he lays back and thinks about the millions coming his way and smiles.
July 16, 200817 yr I feel so awful for him. Probably wants to crawl under a rock. I hope he doesn't let it get to him. Gotta be real tough mentally to block that out.

He will be cheered up when the Marlins win the division in September. Baseball Tonight was just talking about how Lidge threw over 100 pitches in the bullpen before actually coming out and pitching. They said that could hurt him and ultimately the Phillies in the long run. I am not sold on the Mets, I think they just got hot against some bad teams. We have 12 games remaining with both teams we will see what happens, but I will be the first to say a division title is not out of question right now.

If it makes you feel better, you never hear about how HOFer Eddie Mathews went 0-4 with 2 errors and how one of those errors cost a run in the 1960 ASG. The baseball world will get over it, no worries.

Uggla is a Pro he will produce for his "real team" in the second half :gofish
July 16, 200817 yr You know what will ease his mind? A walk-off HR in the 7th game of the World Series against the Yankees later this year.

It's just killing us, the rest of the baseball world really isn't going to remember it. They barely spoke about it on ESPN, more concentrating on Wagner and Lidge blowing it. Danny's rep will be fine.

Agreed, after about 20 minutes it kinda just went away and I thought... at least Uggla didn't make 6 errors then it might have been a little different, also no one scored on any of the errors. Regardless Uggla is still a beast, I think he is still trying to find his swing after hurting his ankle, and he will in time. Hanley is ridiculous but he needs to sure up his defense a little more than Uggla, IMO (ironic, I know)

July 16, 200817 yr Really bad outing for Uggla, all errors by the fish. I think it was a confidence issue. He feels like one of the stars at home and one of the rookies in NY.
