Oklahoma Thunder

Meh, I think it's ok. Not as bad as I hear everyone else complaining about. I do wonder how you make a thunder mascot, considering it is an invisible *thing*. Maybe just send out a guy in a cloud costume??

Maybe they'll keep that bigfoot mascot the Sonics had.

I like it better than the Denver Nuggets.

thats an ABA name though thats why that one sucks. :confused

does this scream WNBA to anyone else besides me?

Couldnt agree more. If we werent so accustomed to the Heat as well.. it would too. Any name that ends without an S pretty much screams it. Liberty, Shock, Wave, Flash, whatever they are called.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It sounds too much like a WNBA team. Not a big fan of names that don't end in 'S'.

I've come accustomed to it with the Heat, but I still don't "like" it.

Also, is it Oklahoma Thunder or Oklahoma City Thunder?

Ok Thunder and Ok City Thunder are both on the radar. Also, both have been registered by the company the NBA does business with.

Oklahoma City sounds so... Hornets post-Katrina. Just make it Oklahoma.

I think they should, because they can market to the whole state. a la golden state, carolina (2 states), new england (6 states), etc.. you get the point.
