Scott's problem is he has the mentality of a guy who throws 95 with nasty movement, but his fastball is more like Glavine's or Moyer's...

 

In other words, he's never going to consistently be good until he starts pitching like a crafty lefty, because thats all he'll ever be.

I swear though, I remember when he first came up to the bigs, he was between 91-94, which is nice for a lefty. Maybe my memories not so good, but I could've sworn thats why I was excited with him as a prospect. Now he rarely ever seems to hit 90 on the gun.

The difference is that Nolasco has only had one truly bad outing and has shown MANY times he battles back and keeps the team in the game. Olsen out there looked like the same Olsen in his last two really bad starts, where he did NOT keep the team in the game.
