For what it's worth, I do not dislike Matt Lindstrom. I feel like he has great stuff...and doesn't know how to use it sometimes.

I'm also willing to see him get a save more than once (especially since this wasn't a difficult "save") before anointing him "the closer."

He's done well since coming back from Albuquerque...that's a fact.

Hey Rab I'm new to the blog stuff. Who is super?

Still think Ryan tucker is our closer

Tucker needs to make the big leagues first.

...and Lindstrom needs to prove he can be consistent first.

Welcome! But by "Super hates Lindstrom", I meant that Erick super hates Lindstrom. Laziness on my part, but it's late so please forgive me.

That said, this is a forum, not a blog.

Less so than Tucker does.

Very true and this goes for the whole team. One for one and counting and whether there is a 3 run lead or a one run lead a save is a save. You dont think there was a lot of pressure? Think of his last outing when he did terrible and then add the weight of the team wanting to win two in a row-sounds like enough pressure to me.

i didn't even realize that lee gardner wasn't on the team. he was really good until he got injured. also henry owens is out as well. do you think they'll be ready for next season. what is are bullpen going to look like next season, i hope it's something like this:

lindstrom (closer)

pinto

waechter

owens

lee

tucker

nelson

i want to see tucker as closer but i'm not sure he's ready and i definately don't want to see kensing or tankersley on the team, they suck balls. i wouldn't mind seeing rhodes back but i doubt it. we might need another lefty since pinto would be the only one and we all know what happened this year until rhodes came now pinto sucks because he was overworked.

i dont kensing either, but i defenitely want tankersley back. he showed he can be good, and he's still 25 years old.

My bullpen would be:

Lindstrom CL

Pinto

Tankersley

Tucker

Waechter

Nelson

De la Cruz

No...but considering Lindstrom is a good 7 years older than Tucker, I'd say he has to start showing it a little quicker.

Well, you need to remember that Lindstrom got a late start in pro baseball because he went on his Mormon missions. He is 4 years behind.

But, then again, Lindstrom has shown 10 times more than Tucker has.

Tucker hasn't really gotten a chance at the ML level, as a reliever.

All he's done is dominate AA this year, as a 21 year old. Not bad.

Lindstrom CAN BE DOMINANT. I'm not going to deny that...I'd just like him to start showing it, already. Regardless of whether or not he's "4 years behind," he's still already reached the age where a player is considered to be at his prime.

I think Lindstrom has already shown improvement...now it's about consistency.

The reason that age is considered such is both physical AND mental. He's obviously reached that physically, as his fastball is Godlike and his little used slider has more bite than Jaws. Everything else is just mental and that develops. Nothing about reaching his physical peak says he has reached his metal peak.

Thats what i was about to say. Next year, we can have that dominate lefty combo we all thought we were gonna have this year. Pinto and tankersley can do some nice things next year.

I assume you're one of the guys who want Hermida DFA as well.

Why would we designate Hermida for assignment? I mean he sucks but we could get SOME value for him, maybe another pitching prospect.
