I am kind of new...Where was the AAA team before Albuquerque?

Edmonton Trappers PCL

Technically, it was Calgary, who then moved to Albuquerque.

AWESOME news. That will definitely help the pitchers.

Never been to New Orleans but it has to be more pitcher friendly than New Mexico. I saw a ball hit there in a Univ of New Mexico game, it may still be circling the planet!

I dont mind moving from Albuquerque, but I dont like the move to New Orleans. I wanted out of the PCL and not relocating to another hurricane-susceptible market.

Preparation!

New Orleans' ballpark is located out in the burbs, not at great risk of extended relocation of games.

The NO team will be playing in exactly the same PCL division the Isotopes played in last season and against the same teams. I've been trying to explain the PCL's realignment all season but it continues to fall on deaf ears. The good thing is half their games will be played at a lower elevation which is good for pitchers and hitters alike but their road game schedule won't change much at all. They were in the PCL South division last year and they will be again.
