October 5, 200817 yr Author The Yankees are going to make a huge push for Sabathia. If they sign him, either one of their young pitchers goes or Petite goes. Pavano is not coming back. Do you think how the Brewers have used him will influence the number of teams that will go after him? I mean, surely he is due an injury to his arm the way he has been maxed out. Whether it be having 120 or so pitches every start or the fact they sent him out there on 3 days rest 4 times in a row....it must have a lingering effect surely? cc is going to get big money no matter what. but if i'm a team pursuing him i'd be a little worried because the brewers really used him a lot and i think they did that because they don't care what happens to him after this season because he's going to go for the big bucks.

Sad to say this, but Pudge really is one of those players that goes where the money is. If we offer him the money he wants, he will run with that team. That is how most players are, and most likely a team with more money and a bigger need for a catcher will come and take him. I am happy with a Lo Duca/Baker platoon. About Baker starting 70% of the games

He wasn't expecting a championship. Hell, we weren't really expected to contend for a WS when he got here either. He cares about the cash.

October 13, 200817 yr He's been under Loria's Desk. You know, where he keeps the Interns and the "Super Duper Double Top Secret" Plans. '
October 15, 200817 yr My only prediction that I will make that I can guarantee will come true is Ivan Pudge Rodriguez to the Marlins on a 1 year deal and how can you guarantee that? Let's just say I spoke to someone who works very near the FO, my source says that the marlins are desperate for a Veteran Catcher.
October 15, 200817 yr No Nomar please Resign Rocco for DH. Let Fernando Perez/Gabe Gross platoon in RF or trade Edwin Jackson for a great RF. Bartlett is a clutch hitter with great defense and has been the spark plug for this team, it is his job unless Brignac kills it in ST and AAA. As for Nomar.... 3B some guy named Evan Longoria plays there SS already discussed this plus Nomar is ehhh there 1B Pena has 2 years left on his deal and is awesome DH Nomar hasn't had the bat to DH in years. Rocco and Aybar would be much smarter options. Maybe Ibanez My ray signing predictions are Rocco Baldelli resigned to be a platoon DH/RF Rual Ibanez signed to play DH and DH only Brian Fuentes to give us a real closer(one that wont cost us 15 mil a year and is overrated)

I like the Raul Ibanez signing.
October 25, 200817 yr no sh*t, Torre must be retarded or something I hate the r word there but that is the general feeling towards his managing ability. That said, my routine shot at Joe Torre aside-I think Nomar ends up in St. Louis.
