November 18, 200817 yr What's the difference between Jeffrey Loria and a conoe? A conoe tips. what the hell is a conoe? :mischief Canoe*
November 18, 200817 yr Jesus, do the math. It's less than $8,000 each. And these are all major leaguers making even at minimum $300,000 a year+ depending when the purported issue arose. Which is the point, we're talking about less than $ 100,000. For a major league team to be this penurious is ridiculous. It invites snide "Cheap Jews" bashes at Loria and Samson, and brings ridicule, and behind the scenes talk amongst players. I'm sure other players have heard this, and some of them could be potential free agents. These kinds of things lead a player, who might have several options besides the Marlins, to choose the other team. Noone brought bigotry into it until you did. Not surprising. First you say the Marlins are only acquiring latino players to appease the latin fanbase (regardless of talent...etc), and now the Marlins owners are cheap jews... I think I'm sensing a trend. This is so sad, and you are right ctina. Can Admin or whoever look into this? Seriously, there is no place for that crap on this board.

Of course, reading comprehension is not a strong point on this board. I said, please re-read, that it "INVITES" those kind of comments. Implying those kind of comments would talked about behind closed doors by the players. And of course I later on made sure on that other thread, to make sure to post I make some outrageous comments because I think its hilarious to see some of the posters go all crazy. They take the bait everytime (especially Bronco Bob....what a tool) :lol

First of all, you don't know what the players talk about behind close doors so don't assume everyone is bigot like you. Secondly, excuse yourself however you see fit, but at the end of the day you're the tool. You're the one wasting your time on a baseball forum spreading your prejudices to try and get a rise out of people and adding nothing relevant to the discussion. Bronco Bob is not the one who looks like an idiot, its you. Lastly my reading comprehension is just fine, thank you!

I guess now we know who the real "tool" is, huh?

I guess now we know who the real "tool" is, huh? Actually, I just laughed it off. The guy shows his true colors on almost every thread. He just dosen't like to be called out on it and most likely believes everyone thinks, or should think, the way he does. I think his life motto is, "So much hate, so little time."
November 18, 200817 yr It's all about what is considered the "road" and what is considered "home". I'm siding with the players on this one, seeing as Jupiter is a drive from Miami, but I can understand why it could be considered still being within "home". Don't be surprised to see the Marlins win this one. I'm seeing the team's point on this one. They want those of us in PBC to attend games saying it isn't far to travel. So why should it be far to travel for the players going the other way? I could care in the least which way this one goes. But I can see why the Marlins almost have to take a stand. They would be hypocritical if they didn't.
