For publicity purposes we need to at least offer him a contract in public since we now know he's all about them dolla bills. I'm not judging him, but we need to cover our image. Willingham could be up as soon as 04' with a solid ST, but more likely he'll spend a full season in Carolina. He's looking like our only stud in the Arizona Fall League with Hutchinson, Moser, Holdzkom, Aguila, and Stokes especially all sucking a**. Stokes is looking so bad I wouldn't count on him even getting promoted to Carolina unless they want him to look silly. Our former Adrian Gonzalez is getting the starts over him on the Peoria team and his playing lights out.

November 4, 200322 yr I would Love to see Castro start If pudge goes. I had said in a post earlier that i wouldnt want Castro or Redmond to catch but if Pudge goes, thats our only option. Castro is a very good catcher but cant prove it since he doesnt play. Now he will probally get a chance to show McKeon!
November 4, 200322 yr Getting rid of Pudge gives us a million more options than keeping Pudge. What part of "We need a Leader" don't you guys understand? Letting Pudge go is not about PR, or even batting power... It is about what holds this team together; great leadership. That is what Pudge gave this team. Someone to look up to; specially for our young pitchers, having Pudge behind the plate was a major part of their success... I seriously doubt that Castro or anyone else can replace him; they would like to have his experience in their dreams.... :banghead We need to keep him!
