Get Ready for World Government - Ron Paul in Glenn Beck

Featured Replies

check that clip. This just aired a few hours ago

This is what's going on behind the scenes and the stuff that most of the media won't touch with a ten foot pool. Most of America is ignorant of the huge changes we could be facing in the near future.

Ron Paul is a great American, God bless him

Paul is borderline insane, at best. World government is a long ways off, but will probably happen at some point.

How is he insane? You just stated you agreed that a world government "will probably happen at some point." I think Ron Paul has been made into a caricature by the media , but if you listen to what he is saying particularly on the economy he is spot on .

Can someone explain to me what is so horrible about the idea of a world government?

I mean, I understand why it would be such a bureaucratic mess, but many people talk about in hushed tones, as it discussing some inherently evil idea. I don't see it.

Paul is 100% right. The only thing worst than Bush is Obama. Obama will lead this country into the ground. He is making government way too large and sacrificing our future already. Stupid Americans just fall in love with his "open-suit" persona and good "general" speeches without realizing what's going on behind the scenes.

I've never been a constiracy theorist myself but the evidence is right before everyone's eyes.....

Bank Nationalization, Stock Market will crash, US Dollar will depreciate to nothing.....

Government will own:

1) Health Care

2) Bank Nationalization

3) They will begin to track people's every moves

We are losing our freedoms everyday- as business' begin to disappear, the government is trying to control EVERYTHING.....

I'm sure you think this sounds crazy but the evidence is overwhelming and obvious...... :whistle

BTW.....anyone who believe the media either democratic news OR republican news are nieve....the world is corrupt and run by money.

lol...Did you see how CNBC acted all confused for airing Paul?

Paul is talking the truth, but the media in general is not interested in covering any of it.

At a basic level….if there is a dollar collapse, there will be a huge vacuum that would need to be filled by a new international monetary system (which it is already being worked on as a pre-emptive measure). Our Gov is playing with fire with credit and trying to re-inflate the bubble.

Can someone explain to me what is so horrible about the idea of a world government?

Look at the governments in the majority of the world, then realize that free governments are the minority. Do you really want laws that govern your behavior to be based on the sensibilities of distant persons with interests counter to your own. There is enough trouble with people in big cities attempting to impose thier will on rural communities (and vice versa) as it is.

I'm not sure I see how our current government is "neo-fascist".

A banking-industrial complex, a military-industrial complex, immunity for surveillance, undeclared wars fueled by nationalistic propaganda, heightened executive power, and increased disregard for states sovereignty.

We aren't a third world Latin American country but we are certainly far from a free and sovereign state.

I mean, I suppose I can see what you are saying, but how often do you feel oppressed in your day to day life? When was the last time you were oppressed? In fact, "states sovereignty" was the argument used to prop up an oppressive system up until 40 years ago.

Is there a country out there that is less neo-fascist than us?

I suggest everyone look at Timothy Geithner's background, as soon as he was hired to me it became apparent the direction they wanted to go in.

Go back to your bomb-making shed already.

I still don't get what this means. Can you define "neo-fascist"?

I don't really think anyone in our country can honestly say they are opressed.

Before I jump in fully, let me say that I might not go as far as to say neo-fascist, and that I might also say that we are still probably better off than the vast majority of countries, but that also gets to another point:

Can someone explain to me what is so horrible about the idea of a world government?

I mean, I understand why it would be such a bureaucratic mess, but many people talk about in hushed tones, as it discussing some inherently evil idea. I don't see it.

Well, it MIGHT not be inherently evil IF and I stress ONLY IF that world government had an extremely limited powers that were very constrained, in the same way that the United States Constitution originally limited the scope of power of the Federal government, even if it is ignored today.

Of course, the reason we all realize that any world government that would be likely to come into place now or in the near future would be very bad is because we continue to trend towards a more expansive and more powerful government. This would be bad on a world-wide scale because EVEN IF it were a democracy, even a direct democracy, your voice in decisions would be beyond insignificant, it would be one vote among what? 6 Billion? I could give you a ridiculous hypothetical like having an unrestrained democracy vote Mandarin the official language of Earth (which would effectively give any Chinese speaker a job teaching it andcould even go further as far as repressing other languages). Now that might seem trivial, and I may not be clear, but I guess my point is that there SHOULD be a limit upon the power of government. When the United States declared their independence, they did it understanding that a person had a greater voice and influence in the government closest to them, the local and state levels. They did it also understanding that even those governments had to be restrained from infringing upon individual rights, and that was a large part of the federal government's role. Today we accept, even though it is illegal, the notion that the federal government should be running education.

Perhaps a simple problem is this - the world is diverse, so much so that no single government could every accurately represent it and it's wishes. I mean we have so many issues agreeing on things in this country, in large part because we don't realize that we don't have to agree, but just imagine expanding that worldwide. World government could give you everything from communism to Sharia and so on, and what recourse would you have.

Again, I'm afraid I'm rambling and not making much sense, so forgive me. My point is that world government would be very unlikely to represent you, and so chances are that it would oppress you, as there would be no force to constrain it's power. And my whole discussion here has been with the very generous assumption that such a government would be democratic, which is also not entirely a given. If you look at governments today and throughout human history, you'll find democracies in the minority. More to my point, look at the already existing forms of quasi-world government like the UN - I mean we pretend it's democratic, but who have you voted for in there? Who elected Kofi Annan or Ban-Ki Moon? No one I know.

Is there a country out there that is less neo-fascist than us?

Possibly Costa Rica - at least, they can't have a military-industrial complex, since they don't have a military.

I don't know about the other factors penguin mentioned, though.

World government, in and of itself, is not a bad thing, and in fact should be striven for. One economy, one set of global laws, maybe even a primary (but not singular) lingua franca.

The major problem is that people tend to connect world government with one of two things: Communism, or the Apocalypse. I myself believe that it does not have to be either way.

I'm very interested in the Federal Reserve and it's corruption since most Americans don't even know it's a private intity not the government. They print money out of thin air then charge us interest rates through banks (total corrpution).

So I decided to go up to the local Barnes N' Noble and Books A Million to check out some books on the subject. I went to the US History section, the economy section, and the government section but their were no books on the subject in either store. I went up to the clerk who was about 65 years old and asked her to check in her computer system.....

She pulled up "federal reserve bank and centralized banking".....18 books popped up on the screen. Then she says to me, "This is weird we can't order any of these books to this store but you can order them online." She said, "I have worked her 16 years and I have never seen this. It's like they don't want us to know about it. No wonder why everyone is so paranoid."

She said that with a smile on her face.....I told her I wanted to talk to the store manager (but he wasn't there) because you have sexual lesbian books which explain sexual positions, athiest books about Godless people, and witchcraft books about sacred rituals.

She was puzzled why the store can't order them (the 1st time she has ever seen it).

I thought this was interesting so next time you go to a bookstore....see if they have any federal reserve books....

I sincerely hope this is a joke. Freedom of the press, buddy........I'll try not to get too annoyed this early in the morning.

My point exactly.....I don't mind having those books in the bookstore. So why not make the federal reserve books readily available? Freedom of press.....

Brown heads to US to seek "global new deal"

LONDON (AFP) ? Prime Minister Gordon Brown wants to forge a "global new deal" on reviving the ailing world economy when he becomes the first European leader to visit US President Barack Obama this week.

Brown said that during his trip to Washington he wanted to strike a stronger "partnership of purpose" aimed at fighting the financial downturn, as he played up US-British ties.

After the handshakes and pledges that the US-British so-called "Special Relationship" is stronger than ever, Obama and Brown are set to focus on discussing the massive economic stimulus packages they have both undertaken when they meet on Tuesday.

The leaders are also expected to press for greater help from other countries in sharing the burden of fighting the insurgency in Afghanistan.

"I believe there is no challenge so great or so difficult that it cannot be overcome by America, Britain and the world working together," Brown wrote in The Sunday Times.

"That is why President Obama and I will discuss this week a global new deal, whose impact can stretch from the villages of Africa to reforming the financial institutions of London and New York -- and giving security to the hard-working families in every country."

"I see this global new deal as an agreement that every continent injects resources into its economy."

It would require all continents to make cash injections to boost economies, all countries to adopt green policies, universal banking reforms and changes to international bodies, he suggested.

"I have always been an Atlanticist... I want to do more to strengthen even further our relationship with America."

With Brown hosting a summit of the Group of 20 developed and developing countries in London on April 2, he wants to ensure he and Obama share the same goals for a meeting which the world is looking to for fresh economic direction.

"There needs to be a very strong, shared agenda between the UK and the US going forward to the summit," a British official in Washington told reporters, adding that Brown would be putting forward ideas for "cleaning up and reforming the world of finance."

In the wake of the huge problems in banks worldwide, triggered by their exposure to subprime mortgages in the United States, Brown has called for tougher banking regulation and an overhaul of the financial system.

The wealthiest G20 nations will be expected to help the world's poorest countries weather the economic storm.

"So to our minds that requires more resources from the International Monetary Fund in particular to enable them to have the firepower to help these countries," the British official said.

Brown and the leaders of Europe's other major economies recently agreed to back proposals to add an extra 250 billion dollars (175 billion pounds, 197 billion euros) -- double the current level of funding -- to the IMF budget.

As the global economic woes deepen, Obama is also deeply engaged in the process of shifting Washington's focus from Iraq to Afghanistan, confirming on Friday that US combat operations in Iraq would end within 18 months.

Obama has already promised that 17,000 additional US troops will be sent to Afghanistan this year to join 38,000 already there. Britain has the second-biggest contingent in the violence-wracked country with 8,500 troops.

Officials said they did not expect Obama to press Brown to increase Britain's presence, but they are expected to unite in calling for more help from other allies.

Britain is also believed to back suggestions that Iran could be encouraged to use its influence in the region to help reduce the violence.

On Wednesday, Brown will become the fifth British leader to address the US Congress.

British diplomats will be rejoicing that Brown has beaten French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel to the coveted first meeting with Obama and his party hopes it will boost his flagging poll scores.

Does anyone see this as a problem? Paper dollars will be worthless and there will be a new currency. H.G. Wells isn't a quack after all. Globalization, socialism, and a one world government looks on the horizon.
