November 8, 200322 yr um...country sales rose last year.... rap sales did not i know that for a fact. secondly, a country star has sold the most albums of any solo artist in music history. the number two man started off in country music, before really taking off in rock. the country fan base is wide and varied, encompassing people all over the country, but mainly being rooted in middle to lower class peoples. rap stars come and go like water, you have a couple on top for an extended period of time.. but most have one maybe two decent albums nad then fade away furthermore...country songs are songs that have long been associated with more powerful social causes which often goes unnoticed and unmentioned. its not like it matters because it will be an arguement that goes around and around in circles getting nowhere in the end.
November 8, 200322 yr Its not worth it since you won't see the fact that your choices aren't always the right one. God knows your wrong more often than not in another area :whistle
November 8, 200322 yr oh and the billboard singles charts are determined by number of spins on stations. rap stations play the same songs constantly... country stations play a much wider variety, so you do not hear the same songs constantly. there is a reason for just about everything being as it is. and let me guess...i am wrong in my assessment of bush right?
November 8, 200322 yr And furthermore...country music has a much larger and loyal fanbase than rap has ever had. has country ever taken up all 10 spots on the top 10 billboard charts?
November 8, 200322 yr . btw, a country music fan with a howard dean button in your sig? That's rare (not that there's anything wrong with that). But you shouldn't knock other people's musical taste.
November 8, 200322 yr . btw, a country music fan with a howard dean button in your sig? That's rare. and that is because?
November 8, 200322 yr why do you think the Dixie Chicks got so much crap? Because most of their fan base are bush supporters
November 8, 200322 yr got so much crap? Take a look at their tour results, and then tell me they got a lot of crap.
November 8, 200322 yr And furthermore...country music has a much larger and loyal fanbase than rap has ever had. Excuse you? First off, rap has been the fastest growing music in I don't know, the past 20 years or so? And why don't you compare record sales, see who really is more popular. Furthermore, when was the last time a country song topped the billboards? Because a rap one topped it just last week. How about you chew on that? Ouch!!
